It works - but it is not a real desktop app - it uploads files to an online converter (most probably a free one) where the heavy lifting is done (who knows how secure). Not a criticism but it looks like this is a front end to an online converting tool - and who knows which one or how secure.
Word allows you to save a word document as PDF

CutePDF - Virtual printer you can install so you can print to PDF from any app.

Thank You! This will be great for work!
Pdfescape seems to do most I want ...free online

For this reason it is cold for me
Been using Xodo (also in the M$ store) for some years now. Very good. Nitro is probably the best known. But as others have said, to produce output as PDF just select that option in Word. Or any of the free Word equivalents (I prefer LibreOffice).

Roxy have been around for years and years! They used to be a big name in CD & DVD Burning software.
You youngsters don’t know you’re born! lol.
Can somebody give me examples of when this will be useful.

I've always just clicked save as PDF on most programmes and it works fine.

Thanks
Does anyone know the EULA agreement with regards to use of this software for work purposes i.e. commercial licence T's and C's?

Creating .pdfd with word is easy, I agree.
Agreed about unknown companies etc
Adobe reader is a mammoth memory hog. It always has been. Better to use one of the free readers.
Also it appears to offer many things, but as soon as you try to use them, you are taken online where you find you have to pay! Converting to pdfs from other documents is AFAICT done online and anyway would cost me over £100 per year (as I don't have a student account)
Great find. My expectation was more than just a conversion tool, a PDF editor plus converter. Got one last year from here but I've lost that after doing upgrade.

Word also converts pdf to Word for editing, just open a pdf in Word. Using latest version included with 4-year student OneDrive/Office package👌

it is only useful if the conversion happens the other way round as it is simple enough to convert a word document to PDF using what you have stated or by printing to PDF using PDF primo. however, if you are given a PDF document that you want to use as a template for something where you can change the words etc on the original document, then converting the PDF to word will be useful.

it would appear that there are free tools already to do this. i have asked if anyone has tested this function on this app and no one has confirmed.
Just to add to the discussion about this vs. "Microsoft Print to PDF", I have found the latter to be very flaky.
It seems to work OK when 'printing' from programs such as Notepad, Word, LibreOffice Writer, etc., but when 'printing' web pages (for example, from FireFox), at best it doesn't produce anything and at worst it crashes.
I've tried removing and adding it (via 'Change Windows Programs') and I still can't get it to work consistently.
That googled abstract background tho.
The best thing since sliced bread.

Thought as much.
Cheers!
I think the point (usefulness) of this app is the ability to be able to convert FROM PDF

There are many many options to convert TO PDF.

Heat from me!!

I use on line converters since years ago. Used on regular basis. Never paid a penny. As far as I am aware, I searched for this with Google, and used the first Google suggestion. I use it regularly, but I do not know if there is a limit, as I do 1-2 documents at the time. I mostly convert jpeg/word to Pdf and never looked for alternatives or what else is available, as the site worked for me all the time.

Nothing against this deal, I think is good but I can't believe how hot has got considering so many free of charge alternatives.
