Sure, unless your internet is unavailable or your phone battery is dead
I'd highly recommend one. It's much more convenient to control blurays with a remote instead of a pad.
I have the smaller official one. Cost less than this and it's great quality. This seems a bit too big

The review below states that it is IR (they think) but they used it with an Xbox mounted behind a TV with no negative impact:

Very tempted by this, just to control Netflix through the xbox, as I have a Bravia TV which is a real pain.

I'd be interested to know where you found the Microsoft media remote for less than this? I was looking for both and found this to be the cheapest.

Ok, do they still have it for £15.99? It's expensive to fuel my DeLorean, so time travel wouldn't be a cost effective way to save 20p

I picked up the smaller one on eBay New but unboxed last week for about a tenner.

Works great with Flirc, replaced a crappy Android box remote with it for use with Kodi.

That's a really good price, you should post it on here as a deal as is miles cheaper than I could find. It also doesn't require time travel!
