The Peavey AmpKit LiNK II offers guitarists creative freedom at home, in the studio or on the move. An input jack for your electric or bass guitar allows playback through a connected iOS or Android device. A stereo jack for headphones offers a private listening experience, whilst a stereo line level output allows connection to speakers or a mixer for serious music production.

Included for iOS devices is the AmpKit App; a complete guitar amp and effects studio available on the go. The iOS app offers 2 amp channels, 2 cabinets, 2 pedals and 2 mics included for free, with additional effects, options and controls available for purchase within the app. Features such as recording, tuner, metronome and backing tracks are also available to further expand your creative potential.

The AmpKit LiNK II features active circuitry to reduce crosstalk and feedback found in some other unpowered mobile interfaces. This refined device is a powerful tool for guitarists looking for creative flexibility and versatility in a quality package.

The Peavey AmpKit LiNK II is a small but powerful device that allows you to connect your electric or bass guitar to an iOS or Android device which can then be utilised as a fully featured amp. Not sure why this was showing as expired when it's still available???

plus £3.49 postage.

Looks like a cheaper alternative to an iRig. Going through the headphone socket means potentially more latency and noise than going through the lightning port.

Peavey don't even list it on their website. Not convinced of it's usefulness.

No Android app though so unclear of how it works without software!

Will this allow me to use the amp effects in Garage Band I wonder?..

It mentions Android on the box, implying suitability for non-ios. I just called them up and they agreed it was a bit 'misleading'. Especially as it's no use at all on Android! Item sadly (or gladly!) returned.
