Great price for this, though maybe not the most masculine colour. A decal would fix

Hot!
But if only it was black

That's is very cheap.
It's worth pointing out that it's not sold by Amazon though.
You can buy it at that price from either Sebago inc. or RCM UK.

If it was any colour but pink, I'd be tempted. Well, and green, orange and purple

you can use any normal 22mm strap a with a bar. I was joking though in fairness.

The 'classic' part is definitely correct. These will be in museums soon.

Amazon website closed down now it was a good deal while it lasted

Good find. been looking to buy one for my daughter but cheapest I have found was £39.99 and I thought that was good.

If anyone is interested in a black/red pebble for £39.99 look at ShopOnTime website. not as cheap as this but alternative colour than pink which seems you be putting people off.

Still shows as available for me

Don't bother I have one and they are garbage.

Would help potential buyers if you explain the problems you have and why it didn't suit you.

Personally this colour isn't for me but I thought the Pebble was great as a barebones notification hub and 'silent alarm' - especially with its excellent battery life. Obviously it doesn't have a touch screen or a colour screen or Pokemon on it, but I think most people know that going in. For £29.99 I would buy this as a spare smartwatch for when I go away if the colour were more 'me'

I have one and I absolutely love it, I have two Tag Heuer and an Automatic Gucci watch and I only ever wear the Pebble

I have a Pebble Steel and love the thing but anybody buying one at the moment needs to be aware that the company is having some financial difficulties and is reportedly being bought out by Fitbit making future support of these devices unknown.

hard to rule out anything these days. Who would have thought the Microsoft band would leave those who spent £150+ on it in a position where they don't know if it will get updates to support future operating system updates?

I guess the fact that this is less than the cost of many premium phone cases makes up for its potentially dark future - though I think it will still work well for years.

Now 39.99

My pebble developed the screen tearing hardware fault recently. Bought it 6 months ago from Argos. Took it back today - no box, but with the receipt. They offered to refund or replace, so I took the refund, and promptly bought a new one. I love my pebble. Shame they'be been bought by Fitbit. I think that may be the end of pebble watches.

Any deal in pebble round? Thanks

One thing to watch out for.. Fitbit are looking to buy pebble, and a lot of reports say they just want the IP, rather than the company, meaning they might at some point (if it goes ahead) shutdown the pebble servers, which currently would be an issue, as the watch is pretty server heavy (you cant set one up without being logged into the pebble app for example)

That said.. at this price, if it lasts a year, its a bargain as they are very good.

Unlikely to shut down the server that quickly - can you imagine the PR disaster for FitBit if they did! I would happily buy a Pebble now and not worry about it.

good price hot

The price has gone up to 39.99

Agreed.
Great watch, lasts for a week easy, practical, useful, effective - colour is the weak point, but the device itself is great

not as ugly as the pebble steel that's worst looking watch I have ever seen

heat added for price. i bought it for mrs for £39.90. but the screen started flickering after 10 days of daily use. she loved it but I had to return due to the defect.

Price is now £39.99

I paid 49.99 a year ago for a white one and lots of people have said how nice it looks. For basic smartwatch functions it's absolutely perfect and I doubt you could improve on that no matter how much you spend. You don't need much intelligence in a watch it just has to extend and make more convenient the functions that can be done much better by your phone.

that's the old Chinese trick. You should have bought one on the bay, it would have been Chinese, it almost certainly will be made in China, and it WOULD have been a hell of a lot cheaper. A hell of a lot!

The Chinese on ebay still do it. LAST 25 LEFT. Last one goes and up comes LAST 25 LEFT.
Fools and their money... SOON PARTED!

I've had mine for almost 2 years and love it - I use it for the timer, unobtrusive notifications from the phone and, believe it or not, a nice watchface. I had the screen tearing issue after about 18 months - fixed it by opening up the back and inserting a small piece of cardboard (as indicated here - it was out of warranty and the fix solved the issue straightaway!)

And now they've gone bust. Pebble sold to Fitbit and will close down operations. No more hardware sales, no warranty support. Servers closing probably soon. Damn!

You'll still have warranty support and the servers don't affect normal functionality.

What you need to know

Pebble is no longer promoting, manufacturing, or selling any devices.
Pebble devices will continue to work as normal. No immediate changes to the Pebble user experience will happen at this time.
Pebble functionality or service quality may be reduced in the future.
Kickstarter backers will get refunds for any unfulfilled rewards by March 2017.
One-to-one Pebble support is no longer available.
Warranty support is no longer available for Pebble watches.
All unfulfilled pebble.com orders will be canceled and—if payment was taken—refunded.
Returns of pebble.com orders successfully completed before December 7, 2016 will be processed and refunded by our Support Team.
Pebble watches purchased at retail may be returned or exchanged based on the retailer’s return policy.
Pebblers can still find replacement charging cables and other compatible accessories (bands, skins, etc.) from Amazon.com and third-party vendors like GadgetWraps and Clockwork Synergy.
Developers have an exciting opportunity to reach and delight over 50 million users and counting.

Warranty support and warranty liability are not the same.

In any case, servers will close, which means services will be ending at some point. Granted, it'll still tell the time, but anything more than that, don't expect much.
Also, one-to-one support will end, as will any support with screen tearing issues. No matter what, this is bad news for current owners.

If a company gets bought out it doesn't make any difference to your warranty with the sellers. Servers don't provide the notifications and suchlike, they just offer the Pebble store features. At the end of the day the watch will work for ages yet - it won't just suddenly stop and won't be only usable as a watch. Also, is anyone who spent £29.99 on this really going to be boo-hooing if it only remains usable for a year? I feel like people are almost revelling in this. Your input is not required.

Get lost.

I'm getting annoyed at posts like these that are so arrogant and so dismissive of the opinions of others. You can't tell if all comments are revelling in anything just by a few sentences online. And it's not just about buying the Pebble for £29.99 - people bought it for a specific purpose, regardless of how much they paid. Much of what makes the Pebble special is based on what is hosted on their servers. Fitbit will probably shut them down. It's certainly not going to improve, I'd guess.
And no, the Pebble most likely won't work for ages. Screen tearing is a common issue, and Pebble were very happy to replace any that had that issue. That will stop now - sure, if anyone gets that issue now, they may be able to get a refund. That support involving a replacement (which is what wrote) has now come to an end. That confidence in Pebble has gone.

This is all speculation. No one knows what is going to happen or when - but of course this is bad news for customers.

If you have the freedom to post what you want about this, don't you dare try and stop others from doing the same. I've wasted more time on this reply than I should've.
