Mark Corrigan and Jeremy 'Jez' Osborne are caught up in a familiar malaise; the two housemates are constantly at each other's throats as they struggle to find a direction in life. Jez has aspirations to become a musician, but his ambition stops outside his bedroom door. Meanwhile, Mark is stuck in an interminable office job, cursing the day he chose Business Studies over Ancient History. Throughout the series the pair find love--Mark with co-worker Sophie, and Jez with American hippy Nancy and later with his disarmingly posh ex 'Big Suze'--marry for a visa, propose by accident, get jilted, go to Mauritius, and return having learnt nothing at all. In fact it's the show's lack of 'lessons being learnt' and characters 'growing up and moving on' that makes it so refreshing.
Aside from strong lead performances by David Mitchell and Robert Webb and the finely honed script, the fact that viewers are able to hear the innermost thoughts of Mark and Jeremy as they encounter various problems makes their characters all the more vulnerable, sympathetic and often just plain pathetic. The result is a well-observed comedy for anyone who spends life at the mercy of their own hesitant thoughts.

Great deal - I bought this a few weeks ago - hours of entertainment.

best series ever and cant belive how cheap this is.

Great series and great price.....

Great price.

Great price. Thanks.

Just ordered, thanks .. heat added

tried to like this but the guy with the squeaky voice irritates the hell out of me

£2 per series, thats an incredible deal

Great DEal, one of my all time favourite comedies!!

That's an amazing price, although remember that "stealing things just makes everything very cheap." Plus, you know how I feel about capitalism.

great price!just watched seaons 1-5 on youtube on demand and season 6 on 4OD, but for 9.99 i've got to get this-thanks OP

Does anyone know if this is in store?

Been waiting for this sort of deal on this box set for a couple of months now, great spot. Thanks for posting!

wow hot

THANKS

Great deal although bought a long long time ago H&R

Is there any chance this could be the same price in-store as well?

I received a £10 HMV voucher for Xmas, and haven't been able to find anything useful to buy with it yet, as apparently you aren't allowed to redeem them online.

Ordered but not received a confirmation email. Anyone in the same boat?

:w00t: £10 mental cheap! ridiculous amount of hours of quality viewing!

Mega Hot!

Hot, very tempted.

Shame series 6 isn't included (even if the price was then £18 or so, would still be a good deal) as I own this boxset and S6 looks a bit silly on the side! Having said that series 1-3 are the best, 4 and 5 have their moments and 6 is almost back on form once again.

5% quidco too.

Thanks for posting this, it is a great deal.

got a price alert about this earlier.

Bought.
Quality entertainment.

Great deal, Heat added. Cheers!

sweet.

Seeing this deal makes me feel kind of sick that I paid full price for every season when they came out (I think I paid more for season 5 on its own that this entire boxset) and I have only watched them once. At this price it almost makes me want to buy them again, just so I'm in on the bargain.

Hot Price!! Ordered

Same here.

WOW, that is indeed an awesome deal!

Arghs, ELGAR!

Yayy, that's the last part of my brother's birthday present sorted =]

got this when it was £8 about 1 year ago, only got round to watching it last month, very good although season 5 got stuck in my dvd player and it was scratched up by the time i managed to get the dvd out of the player. i will have to borrow a series 5 disk and copy it to replace the ruined disk.

season 6 turned up this morning , it was £7.99 from amazon

Wow, excellent price. Trying to think of an excuse to buy this (I don't really need it but it could make a good present).

Ordered. Heat from me

Rubbish deal. the whole lot's available to view for free online through Youtube/4od/Lovefilm.

There is no guarantee that it will stay online for free forever...what do you do if goes?

Plus it's just not the same watching something through a stream than playing the DVD. A bit like having an mp3 over a CD...the physical copy is just...better.

Most people want to watch a good program on their 40+" TV and not their 15" Laptop. Clearly you have no friends to watch this with, or do you all huddle up by the monitor.

Oh please. £10 for FIVE SERIES of some of the best British comedy in years.

You also get a lot of very funny extras on the DVDs (Mark narrating one of those SAS style war stories really cracked me up).

The main thing, as mentioned, is that streaming internet quality video is not comparable to DVD quality in any way.

Lastly, it's just worth supporting good comedy! DVD sales saved Family Guy and they are probably highly influential in keeping Peep Show on the agenda at C4...
