In celebration of Penguin Book's 80th birthday, these books showcase the many varied writers in Penguin Black Classics. It includes fiction, poetry, essays and maxims.

Normally the books are 80p each or £64 for the set. Guardian Books has the whole set delivered for £50 which is big saving if you want the whole lot.

I think they're very smart - although I feel rather less smart when I'm reading them. They'll look nice on my shelf and I might be able to fool some people that I've actually read all of them.
