Humm can't work out if this looks good (style wise that is). Price wise yeah its good deal

Damn that's cheap!

Anybody want a second hand Samsung ES73, still in the box?

Bought it yesterday at £59.99 - No price match like amazon though.

Contact them - I've heard tales of money being refunded in these circumstances - so you might get a tenner back

i just did, only way is to send it back

SHOCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi what is the battery like on this camera? is it rechargeable?

spec wise its amazing... but that doesn't mean the camera will be amazing... I remember a friend buying a Sony with crazy specs for cheap.. only to discover that it was total **** in terms of PQ.

I have the Optio H90, which is very similar. Flick searches for the Optio H90 should give you a good idea of what this type of camera can produce. Absolutely love mine and can't see why they made the above model, as it is cannibalising the earlier H90...oh well.

yes it's a rechargeable

No reviews on amazon or any camera websites.

Apparently the LS1100 has an HDMI socket, the LS1000 doesnt.

Also the LS1000 normal retail price is supposed to be £79.99

Some reviews of the LS1100 on amazon criticize the LCD screen

no reviews anywhere.

Good spot. Looks horrible though, like it's still in it's box....

I'm seriously contemplating getting this, but there does not seem to be any decent reviews and no full spec list anywhere; which worries me.

im stil thinking wether to keep this or buy the samsung pl70 refurb

anyone help....

Same as the Optio RS1000 without the changing fascias. The Optio RS1000 doesn't get good reviews... very poor image quality.

not really a review though, more like an extended advert

Been looking for reviews myself but no joy.. I have found it a little cheaper though at £50 and it has dropped £10 since when I looked at lunch which does make me a little nervous about buying:

As a long standing Play.com customer I was hoping that as a gesture of goodwill you would be willing to match this new price and refund me the difference. Many Thanks,Carl

Lets see what they say to that, although I'm not overly hopeful

That "review" is a about as useful as the last linked posted in fact if you click to see the actual user/expert reviews two of them are the link posted earlier...

even if it was a un-biased review a camera with a rating of 7.8 at the price of £106 (when reviewed) is a bargain at £50 in anyone's book

No reply as of yet =/ although that's not necessarily a bad thing...

Dear ,

Thank you for your email.

We always try to ensure that we offer the best value we can at all times,
but as our prices are controlled by our suppliers and not us we are unable
to predict when the price of an item will change.

It is unfortunate that the price has changed on this occasion, and we do
appreciate the disappointment that this has caused, but as the prices that
we offer are as competitive as possible we regret that we are unable to
offer you a refund for the difference.
If you have any further queries please contact us via the helpdesk section

I tried a similar email myself. they told me its against play.com policys and prices at time of order are prices paid and they were not prepared to refund £10 even if only for goodwill.

Still not delivered tho. Quite upset.

Would the Samsung ES73 be a better option than this? I can't decide...

Received mine today. Have just put it on charge. Looks OK in the flesh.

I don't know where you got that assumption from, Sunni. Sofar, the expert reviews are nearly reaching 8 our of 10. So first do more research, then judge.
photographyblog.com/new…00/

Simply,.. this is a very handy little camera, that fits in your pocket and takes reasonably good pictures. Of course you cannot compared the picture quality to the ones of Canon 5D Mk II, as the price is a bargain. And if you lose it, you won't feel too distressed about it, as it only cost you 50 quid.

So far I am thoroughly impressed with this little camera

Here's the manual for anyone who wants a bit more information --> scribd.com/doc…ish

Thanks Andy, ordered one. Wouldn't normally make a decision without a fair bit of research but for £50 I'm hoping It will be a good step up from my HTC Desire as a camera... ordered a 4gb SDHC card aswell, don't know much about the class of cards hopefully it will record the video ok

Cheers
