Thanks for posting, have added a pic for you.
seen them in Argos on display, looked incredibly cheaply built, nevertheless, this is fair price for it.

I think it is very good value and very valuable your hdmi honesty . It may be important to some but not to others .
How does this compare to the pink HP that they also have for £249?

its not pink!
Left mouse click and the DC Socket fail regularly on these. Very cheap, but ok for the money. Not sure that paying £249 is disposable money maybe abaxas is a banker?

My Mum got a Toshiba Satellite (cheap Tesco one) and the left mouse button failed within a month. I tried to convince her to kick up a fuss to get it fixed, but she thought it was too much hassle for such a small issue...two years later the laptop is still going but the left click is still nearly impossible although she has the knack of it!
so Toshiba have still not solved their long running DC socket problem.

The DC socket on my 7 yr old toshiba failed after 1 yr. To charge it or to use it on mains, I had to jiggle the socket until the led indicator lights up. I checked online and found that it was a known fault.

Obviously your gonna vote hot. Its your deal.
I don't have many expectations in life, primarily because if it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have NO luck at all, but the current and I bought one of these last September (11) and apart from adding a wireless mouse (fingers like cows udders meant I couldn’t use the one on the laptop itself) we have never had a problem with it.
Low spec or not, you can play cd’s / surf the net with ease / watch sky go with no problem / connect effortlessly to WiFi / Skype (a real bonus with firstborn now living in Italy) ect, etc.
As I said, if you don’t expect much, sometimes you can be easily pleased :o)
