How upgradeable is this?

the rrp is no way £249... you can get it for this price from a lot of places!

how very strange, just been looking at these on ebuyer only i think this one is slightly better spec, dad want one for a pc in motorhome to double up as a gps system with a touch screen monitor.

was also considering one for the kids room though would like a dvd drive as well but suppose there is always external .

I think you can add a monitor.

I think you can add a monitor.

With the distinct possibility of adding a mouse & keyboard in the near future....

Seriously though, the dell desktops this week are much better specs than this for the same price.

This one has the selling point of being tiny.

I don't think we really need worry that much about the "carbon footprint" of our PCs. Put it into perspective! Computer power usage is tiny comared with washing machine, oven, central heating, car & aeroplanes!

No, it's £244.99... where else have you seen it for £189.99 delivered?

op says £199.99 which its available for that from anywhere... google it

I have not commented on £189.99.

You can also build your own if you want a bit more flexibility. It's about £60 for a single core motherboard/processor and about £75 for the dual core. Add onto this a case, RAM and HD, and you're probably looking at about £180.

£45 for RAM, HD and a mini-itx case? The case alone would cost that much.

Your maths are way out. This is what you get for posting in the middle of the night.

You're obviously not going to save a great deal by building this yourself, but you do get to choose your components.

PC World also do these @ £199.99

How so?

The person I responded to says:

"It's about £60 for a single core motherboard/processor and about £75 for the dual core. Add onto this a case, RAM and HD, and you're probably looking at about £180."

75+60=135. £180-£135 leaves £45. Which as I say isbarely enough for a Mini-ITX case, never mind a HD and RAM.

This is what you get for posting in the middle of the night.

What, being correct? What do you get for posting first thing in a morning then? ;--p

So how upgradable is this? Can you upgrade the RAM/HDD or just the Monitor?

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't very clear about this. It's £60 for a single core Atom processor and motherboard. This plus RAM, HD and case will take you to about £180. If you wanted to spend a little more, you could get the dual core Atom processor and motherboard for £75.

You need one or the other, not both.
