JL will price match this http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/lg-oled55b6v-55-ultra-hd-alliance-premium-with-dolby-vision.html
Still £100 more but worth it for the 5 year guarantee, Richer Sounds should also match and they have 6 years
Exactly, I'd be taking a risk buying an OLED, from Argos, with a 1 year warranty.
Cold for me
Whats the source of the code please?

It's £1500 at Currys now. So yes, thanks for making my point for me.
I'd urge people to either price match, or pay the extra £150 for the warranty

Try arguing that in reality when you have no knowledge of the expected lifespan of the components, etc

the warranty scam been going for years bit like the ppi bank scam they try say this or that not covered? and try sell u extended warranty on products! they sell not covered by there 5 or 6 year Guarantee?
6 years maybe not, but if your buying a TV that was originally £3000 I'd expect it last 3-5 years minimum and any reasonable person would expect the same so a court would side with that on a claim
Any idea who will price match with the voucher code? Currys said no
Where's the voucher code originally from?

Usually with price matching it needs to be a like for like warranty

There are no guarantees. I'm tempted but it seems too much of a risk.
Would be better waiting for an inevitable price drop or code from RS or Currys.
Has anyone spoke to RS? I think I'll go ahead if RS price match this.

I suspect legally a £1,500 TV should be covered for more than 12 months (see Martin Lewis site ...). In practice, I'd far rather have the 5/6 years warranty in writing.
My feeling is that this tv will get cheaper since many have stated an April build date so I think there will be plenty around for some time yet. Also I'm keeping watch to see if this HLG update will be realised.
Spoke with RS and they said they couldn’t match as it only comes with a 1 year warranty.

" I’m afraid unless they offer at least a five year guarantee as we do, I wouldn’t be able to match them

We offer a six year guarantee as standard"

I don't think anyone has faith in Curry's anymore after their reputation of customer service

I purchased from RS with a price match + £20 price beat a week ago. Build date is April 2016. Panel is very good. No signs of banding/vignetting, no dead pixels. Internal speaker hum/hiss also solved with latest firmware. People back in Feb/Mar were certain they were buying the last of the B6 stock as B7 in stores from April. How long they will continue making the B6 I do not know! Continued support for 2016 range yes but why new stock!!!!?? The 2016 Samsung KS range stocks are diminishing. John Lewis last chance to buy & RS in store only with most models. Strange
I'm going to take the plunge. RS have price matched an earlier Currys offer of 1399.98. I pay instore tmw! Hoping however it goes cheaper overnight! oO

I think it's because of how expensive the 2017 models are currently - they know there are people that will pay the premium as it's new and people that won't. They'll get rid of the E and the G but I recon they will keep the old B range around for a few months if not longer, like the old G910V model as a cheaper entry point

Yes that's my thinking. Can still buy the 2015 1080p Oled so i feel still some mileage for the B6/C6

Have this for £1399 brand new with 5 year warranty.
Buy from them or price match with Richersounds or John Lewis

Pretty shady.

Tried this code and it didn't work at RS

.
If you think these companie will just refund a out of warranty TV if you spout the EU law then you are dreaming .You have to prove the fault was there when you bought it .Do you really want the stress involved or just buy from a company offering a decent warranty.

Wait for it to hit £1350? so not this particular oled? or did i misunderstand. Did you have any intention of getting (or do you have one already?) a xbox one s or the upcoming xbox scorpio, as they are 4k players, maybe be able to kill two birds with one stone and if you want to research this and the samsung you mentioned you should have a look at the links below
