Like most places, but the diet stuff is the same price too, so should that not be included in sugar tax ? soon we will be taxed for the air we breathe.

When I was still at school (a long time ago), the local University had students that were selling cans of air (Scotch Mist) as part of an entrepreneurial scheme. Don't know if it was taxed though.

Talking about the sugar tax, the reason that diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max, 7up Free, some Tango flavours are available in 600ml bottles supposedly for the same price as 500ml full fat versions is because Britvic (who license these in the UK) actively promote the non-added sugar versions of their drinks as healthier options. Also the same reason why you never see full fat Pepsi advertised.
1.58 litres per pound? Not bad but I think deals on ~2 litre bottles still win
The offer is for 6 pounds not 5 in my local Tesco....

Iceland do 2 for £3 on the 3L, so same value as the 2l for £1, if you don't mind a bigger bottle.
I only drink the caffeine free one , never seems to be included in these deals .
I used to be a cola snob, only drinking Pepsi and Coke brands. Now for a big brand, ~8l of Pepsi in portion cans isn't bad in these post-silly referendum days of a weak pound and sugar tax.

But I seriously urge fellow cola drinkers to try the cheaper alternatives out there, after the bottle has been chilled in the fridge and then tell me they don't taste anything like as good as the big-brand versions these days. For example...
2l Aldi 17p
2l Sainsburys Basics ~20p (not sure if this is just discontinued in my local store or nationwide for last ~2 years)
2l Lidl ~40p
2l Tesco Value ~40p
2l Co-Op ~60p
etc.

asda do a great RC cola brand which is usually cheaper than coke and pepsi but not as cheap as your basic brands. i can tell a difference in the taste but RC Cola tastes just as good
