Pop singer Mima Kirigow looks forward to a bright new career when she quits her chart-topping trio to become an actress. When she lands a role in a sexually charged murder mystery, Mima's life begins to fall apart. Reality and hallucinations merge into a terrifying netherworld where innocence is lost and dreams become nightmares Quickly descending into a dangerous state of paranoid delusions, Mima discovers Internet sites describing every intimate detail of her life. Helpless and afraid, she watches as her associates are threatened and killed by a mysterious stalker. In the tradition of great suspense masters, director Satoshi Kon (Memories), special advisor Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira) and Madhouse Studios (Ninja Scroll), bring Yoshikazu Takeuchi's thrilling suspense novel to the screen, in a tour de force that brings animation to a bold new level.

I couldn't disagree more - I found it engrossing and original: neither thematically or aesthetically dull. Excellent animated thriller that deals with subjective reality, and uses clever mechanisms that places you in the same situation as that of the protagonist (sorry if this sounds like alien speak, I'm trying to avoid any sort of spoilers). It really sucked me in anyways, and the animation is used to full effect to create some spectacular scenes. Can't praise this film enough

Hot, well worth £2.99 - I paid £5 and was chuffed. Another great film by the same director (Satoshi Kon) is Millennium Actress (£3.93 online at Asda/The Hut). Sorry I'm typing too much, I'm easily excited :w00t:

looks good im tempted
