great thanx!

I missed out on the £55 deal so I've ordered one at £44. Sweet.

Bought! Thank you. I was just about to buy something potentially dubious called a Proaction from Argos but this seems all round better made - longer cables, spare filters, more suck, etc, all for £4 more. Infact it trumps the specs of a £250 Dyson on all of the above too! Cheers

I'm still waiting for mine. The iron turned up within 3 days, however this is still showing as Entered and not Dispatched.

Arrived today. Though it seems slightly less robust than my previous Dyson (my skirting boards will thank me as I won't be smashing this one around the flat), it comes better equipped (no less than FOUR separate heads plus a couple of smaller attachments), is MUCH quieter and the suck is significantly more powerful. There are a host of other features such as a spare filter for when you're washing your first and one-handed cylinder emptying which totally eclipse the Dyson

And as it's well over £100 cheaper than the nearest Dyson this has to be the bargain of the year! Cheers again OP

I've got one of these - its very good and an absolute steal at this price. Suction is very strong which you can adjust through the nozzel or the power slider on the motor itself. Cleans and removes dust very well.

Heat added, just ordered mine online. Great find. Thxs

i have one and they are terrible...broke down within 2 months...turned off by itself would over heat!!!

Does it have a powered brush head?

I like your description, 'potentially dubious called a Proaction', perhaps that one might possibly provide a better suck! Makes you wonder who thinks these names up!

Great find. Ordered and heat and rep added for you. thanks

Just Ordered one. Heat and Rep added to OP for posting

A mere 17 months and my flat will finally be vacuumed :whistling:

Ordered, thanks.

Many thanks...ordered mine

Owned a Morphy Richards hoover for years it's been brilliant.

Ordered one. Our hoovers been ready for the bucket for a while. £44 for a replacement is perfect. thanks

Thanks - ordered!

Ordered one too, been looking for something to replace my aging Morphy Richards vac. Great price for a decent, spec bagless.... thanks

Does it have a powered brush head?

I don't think so - that's known as a turbo or small turbo nozzle and is an optional accessory. So it won't be as good on carpets as an upright cleaner.

Also worth noting is that on this "Allergy" model the exhaust filter is not washable and needs replacing every six months, according to the instructions.

Seriously? That's a hassle. Does it need replacing if I'm not fussed about the allergy benefits?

According to the instructions:

"Foam filters may be washed (in cool
water), thoroughly air-dried and re-
fitted. The pleated filters used on the
Allergy models cannot be washed
and should be replaced every 6
months or sooner depending on use."

So even if it's not the Allergy model it still has a foam filter. I suspect you'll get quite a bit more dust in the exhaust air if you remove the exhaust filter altogether.

Thanks for the info pibpob - Rep.

It comes with 4 seperate heads; A Combi (hard and carpets), a Large Turbo nozzle (carpets & Rugs) a Small Turbo Nozzle (upholstery and stairs), A Hard Floor head as well as two smaller tools for crevices and upholstery. the whole vacuum with all this kit is only £20 more than a single Dyson head!

Although the exhaust filter needs replaced every six months, the main dust canister filter is washable and you get two of them in the box as well.

thanks just ordered one

Ordeded this for £55 cupla months ago, thought that was a bargain, at this price it's worth it. Powerful and does the job.

That's great - the website doesn't say you get either turbo head. Never used one of these things, but I would be interested to know how they compare with a motor (rather than air) driven beater bar on an upright.

Sounds a brilliant deal and just when I need a new vacuum too, order placed.

Ordered one, as I've always thought my Dyson is rubbish!

Mine arrived yesterday. I left it at work and picked it up at 5am this morning when I left the nightclub, carrying it home on my head lol.

There are a frightening number accessories in the box and sounds like a jet fighter taking off. Very impressed though.

Ordered & should come through in next few days. Hope it should have more suck than my Vax West & Dry 2000 multi-function vacuum cleaner that only runs at 1200 watts. Sick & tired buying dust bags for it & losing suck when bag is only a quarter full but will keep it for wet/wash cleaning ONLY & use the Morphy Richards PerformAir 71062 for normal cleaning. Hope my new Morphy Richards PerformAir 71062 for normal cleaning should do the trick expecially with 2000 watts. :whistling:

I hope so too - power consumption says very little about performance. It is very easy to make a very inefficient motor which is more heating element than anything else, especially when you have lots of air around to cool it. That's why Dyson (I think) started talking about "air watts" which actually gives a reliable indication of the suck.

i just bought one of these - thanks! it performs very well and I was amazed at how many accessories it has, including a special transparent extra stretchy stair hose as well as the ordinary one! i am a bit worried though that there was a kind of plastic smell after i used it, is that normal? it didnt smell like burning plastic though. One other consideration, its quite a bit heavier and bulkier than the picture implies.

Still on offer.

Ordered one last night for my Mum, she was going to get a Dyson DC19 which was reduced to £149.99 but I showed her this and she thought it was worth a go for 44 quid.

I think the hot plastic smell is normal for a new cleaner, my Dyson is new and you can smell the plastic when it's been going for a bit and the motor is getting a bit hot.
