Performance Power sliding power mitre saw £75 at B&Q Great Western rd Glasgow

Was looking for a sliding power mitre saw for around £100 and was going to get the Lidl one which comes out on 26th July, however was in B&Q Great Western road Glasgow and they had stock of their Performance Power sliding mitre saw for £75 so went for it. Also got a saw stand for £50 - so £125 for saw and stand.

Saw is 1700w and will cut 210mm width and 60mm depth. +/-45 degree mitre cut with 45 degree bevel cut (only on one side for the bevel cut)

Used it yesterday and is very suitable for my basic DIY. Best value I've seen for a sliding mitre saw.

I've marked it as a local deal as B&Q don't have this model on their website, but worth a look in your local B&Q if you're interested.

This is comparable to the Lidl deal which is £99 for saw and £39.99 for stand so £138.99 from Lidl.

Thanks, however needed a saw and this one fits the bill, both in function and value for money. If it stops working I'll return and get a refund or replacement

You should have always bought every thing you have ever purchased on offer....

I have absolutely no reason to buy this but have always wanted one. Ever since watching my builder using one. Looked so easy to cut floor timbers. Although I foresee a hospital visit if I try it lol . Best leave it
The Lidl one is a bigger saw with a 10" blade which will cut 78mm as opposed to 60mm and cuts up to 340mm wide as opposed to 210mm. I actually have the one posted and it's not bad but the blade has a habit of coming loose and when cutting some wedges a piece flew out and damaged the guard jamming the blade in the process. I also have to set the back stops every time I use it because after a couple of cuts it's running out and doesn't cut at 90 degrees until you reset the stops. The saw has been fit for purpose but if I was in the market now for a cheap saw I would go for either the Lidl one or the Rage option from Screwfix.
how does the screwfix and the lidl one compare, all I know is that price wise the Lidl one is cheaper, but would pay the extra for screwfix
