It says £1.99 3 for 2 on the website however in the Metro store I've just been to (Torquay) the label said 99p 3 for 2 and they scanned at that price too. So don't know wether its store specific or maybe a deal just in Metro stores? The shelf label was a normal yellow one like any other offer and said it runs until the 11th December. These bottles normally cost £1.65+ each.

Good stuff!

Great deal but by god Peroni gives me such a banging head in the morning!

Luv it cheers op

still £1.99 online so not sure if it's national...

Peroni Gran Reserva... I mean seriously...
The crappiest dish washing liquid from Europe sells as good/special beer here in Britain... it's the only place they'd be able to sell it.

Good positive input there.....(!)

This is a great price per bottle for this beer/lager. Good deal, good find though expect not to be National. Thanks OP have some heat from me

Nowt wrong with Peroni - still brewed properly. Peroni Gran Riserva is an amber ale which is quite malty nothing like the standard lager product. Always pick up a couple of bottles when on offer.

Have some heat.

Go back to your Fosters and leave us alone. This is fantastic lager.

is this national does anyone know?

I like the ordinary Peroni - but it makes me laugh when they sell it here as a 'premium lager' at up to £2.65 for a 660ml bottle --- last time I was in Italy you could get it for €1.10. Nothing like a good con to boost profits --- same foes for Staropramen & Pilsner Urquell, it's premium here (ie. they don't sell much on account of the price) - but in the Czech Republic it's sold at knock-down prices.

its like when in italy u order a bottle of magners (cider) and pay 7 euros for it!

The standard Peroni has a horrible watery blandness and I doubt it can be improved much. It also goes flat very quick. It's hard to believe that they can class this as a beer. Same goes for all those Mexican brews.

Great deal.

So what you're telling us is that products imported to the UK from foreign countries with lower taxes, weaker economies and exchange rates strongly in our favour are actually cheaper to buy in the countries they originate from?

This is a startling revelation indeed.

That may explain why when I was I California they sold Corona for $1.. Yet over here I feel a little molestered when I pay for one at the bar..

this blanket statement doesn't seem to tally why Americans pay roughly the same amount for many things such as electronic goods in $, whereas we pay £.

Love Peroni, tried this stuff a few weeks ago but it wasn't to my taste. A rye beer I think it is? I'd rather go for something like Erdinger.

However, that doesn't stop it from being a great deal, heat from me

This stuff is gross, dont like it at all

Superb. This and Birra Moretti are the nicest beers I've ever tasted. Very malty and rich - love it.
Tasted fantastic with an ardbeg uigeadail on the side too.

Because they have (or used to have!) an economy that's massively consumer-based. Not that long ago you could get nearly $2 to £1 - now it's $1.6, so the merkin prices are going up as their economy shrinks. Lots of people struggling over there too.

Excellent deal - sadly not in Halifax where it's the normal price (but with 3 for 2)

Don't forget that, when it comes to electrical goods, the prices quoted for an item in the US are exclusive of taxes, whereas those quoted over here are inclusive. I agree it doesn't always account for the entire discrepancy in price, but things are not always as bad as they seem.

Cold. Just got back from my local Tesco. When I self-scanned them they came up as £1.99 each.

Yes we must!

£1.99 here. Probably a store-specific error.

I am not saying all comments should be positive. Just that trolling deals for products you don't want/like seems nonsensical to me. Fact is that this is a great deal especially when compared to the price in Italy as you don't need to pay for flights required to benefit from that price either! (hidden savings - well done OP!)

not this price in scotland, they are £1.35 and no 3 for 2 due to scottish laws

Loving this, even at 3 for 2...Paying more seems to make sense as it's imported from Italy Vs being brewed in Wales.....it reminds me a little of Leffe, probably because it is + 6% ABV.
