Just discontinued size - looks like they're changing to 40 wash. More downsizing - although the price won't go down.

Let’s be honest how many times do you come across a deal on here and people have purchased more than one! All the time.

Irrespective the Police should not have acted like that, a waste of police ‘resources’. The irony is that whenever you turn of the TV or radio there is always a story about police cuts! On this occasion the Officers got it wrong. Sadly you always get one stupid officer who gives decent officers a bad name. You do get the odd Officer who fails to understand that they are law enforcers not makers!

Hopefully the IPCC charge that idiot officer. Trust me some of the stories you hear of wrongful arrest and officers who don’t understand the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 is really comical!

yep the bloke acts like a dick, doesn't leave when asked to and starts recording on private property when asked not to, then runs to the papers when he gets arrested. Boohoo.

We're not retailers, we're not wholesalers, we just want them for our home but unfortunately in this Tesco we've been told that we're only allowed ten bottles each."

Just picked up 3 up from my local Asda. Had been put out of way on top shelf with no price sticker but when I scanned them they came up 1.50.

Must be national.

Thanks.
As per all deals... this time me... "I literally just picked a box up from waitrose for 5.50!! "

I really don't understand, Tesco said 10 bottles max, he tried to buy more, when refused he kicked off. He's clearly a retailer, Tesco aren't a wholesaler, and even so they can refuse to serve who they want.

Suppose so.

But if they're paying the full price for them, what's it hurting?

They could buy 20 between them, take them to the car and continue to go round and round and buy 100's

Tesco if they are a loss leader? Other customers if they are clearing the shelves? He crys to the press about how he isn't a retailer, but is a self employed retailer, and also mentions that he is allowed to buy as many as he wants all over the country and has never had a problem before. How many bottles of water does he need if he's travelling all over the country to buy them?
Look at people's reaction on here when they say 'bought one for me and one for ebay' - people react like the person saying it has just killed a kitten

Only watched the clip once (at work so couldn't have it on at a decent volume ) so never even realised he'd said he was a self employed retailer.

Agree with what you're saying and see your point now though
I agree, he was acting like a d***, however that officer clearly took a punch and they dealt with it disgustingly.

Or the person could simply have complied with the instruction and not been an idiot.

If a policeman tells you to leave a store then leave the store!
Is this available or a wild goose chase?

If a policeperson issues a lawful command then follow it, but they aren't always correct. They will often ask/tell you to stop filming in public places, but that is not always a lawful command.

It doesn't matter who buys what as long as the products get sold

If didn't hear him ask to leave, the video was cut and it ended up refusing and they both was screaming and shouting, my conclusion they should have been allowed to buy the products, police shouldn't arrested him, he shouldn't have been so aggressive. Unlawful arrest from the police state

So, the video was cut. The full story, as far as I can gather from others sources, is that the customer got upset that Tesco refused to sell him as many bottles of water as he wanted.

Rather than accept that they are not legally bound to sell him as many bottles of water as he wants he decided to act like a baby and throw a tantrum. Store security asked him to leave, as he was causing a scene, he refused to leave and so eventually the police were called. The police asked him to leave, he refused, the police officer then attempted to march him out and a scuffle broke out as he resisted.

This entire scenario could have been avoided had the man simply accepted, as stupid as it may have seemed to him, that that particular Tesco was not going to supply him with the number of bottles that he wanted.

Instead he whined like a petulant and entitled brat until he was dragged out.

My conclusion
Tesco said he couldn't buy them and asked him to leave. He should have left without the water. Police wouldn't be called, no scuffle would have happened, he wouldn't have been arrested. Simple.
You want to buy wholesale to resell, fine, but don't complain when a retailer says no.

There shouldn't be limited, why would a wholesaler by from another store and not from the supplier :/
They didn't ask him to leave, listen, officer said "you asked him to leave?"
The employees said "no we asked him to stop recording"

He was acting like a right nob. He thought that he had the right to film when he did not receive the consent from the owner. He thought just because they have an open door policy, that its a public place. Even when he was asked to leave he didn't then he threw in the race card. Such a bell
