No online code needed. Got mine a week or so ago, been playing online and no code needed. Grew up with ISS64 and then Pro, had switched to FIFA for the last 3-5 years and intended on getting it this year but after playing the demos I decided on Pro and have no regrets. Fifa a let down this year, hardly any improvements and become boring and repetative. Pro has improved alot this year.
Not Fifa.. cold!

Fifa is stale and boring, very little innovation or new features.
I own both Fifa and PES and haven't touched Fifa since the day after I bought it. It's the same, sterile, repeititve **** it's been for 2 years running now. Dribbling is unbelievably fake! The ball is stuck to the players feet and if you hold both triggers at the same time you do the most unrealistic ball control ever. They've also now added the stupid ability to let ANYONE do flying kicks. The funniest sight I've seen so far is when De Gea was up for a corner and he scored from a bicycle kick. So.Damn.Fake.

Then there's the trademark EA glitches and connection errors, the terrible player likenesses and the poor editing options. The player likenesses are crap! Jones, Evans, Smalling, Valencia, Rafael, De Gea - Those are some of the most important members of the United squad in real life yet non of them look anywhere near like their real life counterparts in-game. They look far far more life like in PES.

I have my gripes about PES too don't get me wrong, but this is my first PES game since 07 yet I've been playing Fifa year in year out since 08. The only reason Fifa 13 still sits on my shelf now is because the Team Play can still be fun when played with friends. In terms of realism, gameplay, graphics and overall quality and addictiveness PES takes the cake. The only reason Fifa sells so much these days is because games websites are raking in too much ad revenue to care and some people are just too stupid to make their own decisions. My own brother is one of them - he buys COD every single year because his mates do and he doesn't even like the game that much anymore. Maybe if people tried something different and followed their own judement for once they'd experience some real quality.

You mad bro? Its funny how you've mentioned so much about FIFA, and yet you only played it for 1 day!! You even failed to mention anything good about PES. FIFA destroys PES, that is as simple as it gets. Another thing, De Gea is not a 4star skiller and cannot do bicycle kicks. You are a fail.

+1
dont wanna comment on the Fifa v PES debate, I was a PES player until 07 myself, this years fifa is very similiar to last years, I might try out PRO to see if it really has improved , really hope so coz Prime time of Pro is overkill compared to anytime Fifa.

FPS = Counter Strike on Or BF 3 On PC . CoD is for kids that dont have skills.

peace
Counter strike. Now that was a game. I remember playing live against 4k in a semi final. Think it was i7!!!
I was going to buy PES but then found a team in there called "North London FC". I have googled quite a bit and still cannot seem to locate them so something strange going on there.... oh, it's because Konami are too tight to buy the correct licenses with all their revenues, thanks for letting me know.

I'd sacked FIFA off after 2001 and had PES all the way since.

I'd say 2013 is better than the last PES I had (2011) which itself was a disgrace to what they'd built on in PES 2010.

But, I've played about 10 matches on this before getting rid in favour of FIFA 13. Messi/Barcelona are absolutely unplayable, the ball control feels clunky (as do long range shots), FIFA plays a better game IMO. Not sure what you mean by the ball sticking to their feet, they've deliberately changed first touch control on FIFA13 so it's harder.

I am/was a big pro evo fan and i still refuse to play Fifa

Im not sure if some of you guys are in denial about how poor PES is now. Played it the other day and its actually the worst one yet. Fouls everywhere, defenders like Titus Bramble catch up with Messi.

Lets not even start about no leagues for friends or the state of the online master league.

Dreadful. RIP PES
Thought they had stopped making this series. In reality no one buys it outside Japan these days.
I pretty much buy both every year after prices dropped. Play whichever is better the most. I played PES 10 and PES 11 more than FIFA, and I didn't even touch PES12 because FIFA12 was way better. Doesn't worth arguing.
Best price I've seen so far, so voted hot. I'll probably wait until it's around the £15 - £20 mark though.
I have admit to fouls are punished very harshly in PES 2013 you are guaranteed a yellow card if you tackle the player using the soft tackle (A button) and your are very likely to get a red card if you slide tackle. In a way its good because it stops you from the stopping the counter attacks and breaking the flow of the game.

I found tackling or getting ball back harder then before they have made tackling harder or maybe i was doing it wrong.

scoring goals with top player is too easy, if your inside the box with a top striker your guaranteed a goal.

Im sticking with pes 2011

massive PES fan from Iss 98 (after the last great Fifa 98) but switched back to Fifa when it arrived on ps3/xbox 360 as PES was so poor. The last 5 years have been great with FIfa and have enjoyed Ultimate team and be a pro along with many other features while PES was left lacking everything............... UNITIL NOW!!! Pes' AI blows Fifas out of the water and ok so most teenagers and kids will say "but they dont have real team names" SO WHAT?? the gameplay is phenomenal and hardly any shot is ever the same and as for online masterleague, well that is just the icing on the cake and is much improved from last years edition.

Download PES data that enables full team names and kits etc and go buy this game, if you are a full Fifa fan it may take a few games or days to get used to it (took me a good few games to readjust) but when you do you wont look back i promise.

Hope Konami keep it up and build on this now instead of taking two steps back, they have the tools to reclaim the footballing world on consoles.

You sound like a Konami advert. Therefore i can tell your not actually telling the truth PES 2013 is worse than any of the previous PES's
if you say the fouling is terrible in pes it's because you don't know how to time a tackle, I've never had a player sent off

Doesn't sound like a Konami advert. His English is too good. Konami adverts are atrocious. This year is says something along the lines of "for those that enjoy the GAME BEAUTIFUL"..... hmm pretty sure that's the wrong way around. They just use google translate for their English.
They blooooody ruined Master League with the autosave feature, and some totally random player forms. Why didn't they just leave it alone, the gameplay this year is amazing. Anyway Master League became unbearable, so I returned it. Will buy again if those things gets fixed.
Heat added for sure.

I originally started out as a FIFA fan, with FIFA 97, and I enjoyed 98 also, but just not quite as much. I then purchased ISS 98, and as far as football games go, the landscape was changed. Since switching over to the current generation of consoles, PES6 aside, Konami have struggled to translate their ambition into reality, whereas FIFA steadily improved. Fortunately for us all, it appears that both FIFA 13 and PES 2013 are genuinely solid games, thus meaning with competition stronger than ever before, both EA and Konami are likely to continue attempting to really step it up in order to reclaim the arguably vacant throne.

Over the years, I've bought both PES and FIFA, however, primarily PES each year, having never skipped a PES release date since prior to 2000 I believe. This year though, was the first in which I didn't buy PES (2013) on release day. Instead, I made the decision to rent it due to my skepticism over the series. Of course, the first thing I did upon renting PES 2013 was license all of the leagues, teams, national teams, strips, emblems, logos etc, of which I did by downloading Daymos' Xbox 360 option file, and simply transferring over the data to the game via a USB stick - this took all of 10 minutes to do! After playing it for 5 days during my rental, I was hooked, and immediately decided to buy PES 2013.

After having played PES 2013 fairly extensively thus far, it has by far, the most solid and enjoyable gameplay since perhaps PES6 on the Xbox 360. I say "perhaps", because, without wanting to jump the gun, I do strongly get the feeling that this could indeed be one of the finest PES games released in the series long history. The gameplay itself is truly excellent, and is undoubtedly the most important factor within a game, and especially a sports games due to their repetitive nature. So not only have Konami ticked all the right boxes when it comes to player individuality, likeness and graphics, but they have also nailed down the gameplay finally after vastly improving upon the foundation laid last year in PES 2012. Then, not to mention, option file transfers are even more accurate and efficient than ever before, along with player and youth development becoming a more enjoyable and fulfilling experience within the Master League mode. With all of this said, to top it off, from my experiences this season playing PES 2013 online in exhibition matches, there has been surprisingly absolutely no lag, and for the most part, pleasant interactions with like-minded opponents of whom have selected distinctly average teams for a fairer encounter, which certainly deserves respect.

From my experiences playing both PES and FIFA over the years, but more specifically within just these last couple of years. PES is by far and away the most enjoyable single player experience of the two, however FIFA has the edge when it comes to the multiplayer aspect as well as playing online......however, as mentioned, PES 2013's gameplay is just sensational and evokes the emotion you long for in a football game.

PES 2013 most likely takes the cake in my view this year. Gameplay is most important, and Konami have finally nailed it.
