Just doesn’t taste right to me, is this just me?

Which one? I'm gonna be rude and make an assumption, you mean the green one? The only reason I ask is that there's a red one too, which in my humble opinion is actually ok. The green one to be fair for an own-brand is acceptable. Apologies in advance for assuming you referred to the green one

The red one is better (but red pesto is ALWAYS better ) so I was primarily referring to green. I use to always buy it from Lidl and then an amazon low price left me with loads from barilla and the flavour was worlds apart so much so I use oil to use half a tin per dish and I still think it tastes loads better. Tbh taste seems stronger but it’s also texture... to me it’s now one of the half as often more than twice as good situations but thats probably just me (and at this price it would be 1/4 as often)

On the other hand I find with tomato sauce there is not enough difference and seasoning/herbs/purée etc can deal with any difference (maybe this is getting to be too Much of an insight)

Those are some rather confusing fractions!

6? Summary; this caused me to order 12 jars of Barilla for ‘black Friday’ from amazon... so thanks OP
