Any audiophiles able to recommend which is better or anything similar at this price point?

I'd came to realisation that only going to good AV shop by yourself is only solution to this problem. If spent hundreds, trip to the good shop and back should pay it back. Additionally, this will be my sweet treet for myself only - no kids, no wife, only me

With the Q Acoustics set you need to factor in that you will also need an AV receiver, which is bundled in with the Onkyo. Ideally at least 50% again (or a £300+ AV receiver), maybe something like a Denon XR2600 or Onkyo TXNR686... But the Q acoustics speakers here are considerately better than the bundles satellites that come with the Onkyo setup you asked about...
Good deal. I paid the same for mine but got richer sounds to match instead as they are local to me. If you don’t want massive speakers these are awesome. I went with the white ones so the are more discrete against my white walls. Don’t get me wrong, bigger is probabaly better but these sound great
Oh and by the way. Pair them with a denon avr-x3600 and splash out on another pair. You’ll love it!

I would recommend building up slowly over time, investing in good quality components rather than spending that much on what will be probably quite a mediocre 5.1 setup.

Concentrate on a receiver then your front left, right and centre speakers.

Many people’s room arrangement is sub-optimal for 5.1 anyway, so you may well be wasting money purchasing surround speakers that will be incorrectly positioned
Great deal! If I didn't have my heart set on the Focal Sib Evo set I'd be on this

I suggest Focal dome rather than Sib Evo.

Cheers for the heads up! Heard great things about the Sibs but if I can find a second hand set of Domes that may be a bargain
I have the 7000 (not the 7000i but look identical)series in white I want to sell for £400 if anyone interested. Hardly used mine, they sat in the box when I was in my apartment, setup high on my wall so kids cant touch and now in box as I bought black set to replace them. I also have a pair of speaker stands (Alan screws missing but if you know the size then you can get for couple of pound) that can be used to hold rear speakers
Highly recommend Petertyson, second to none customer service

I'm not sure if the shop is still there but in the 1990s there was a shop in Tottenham court road that you could choose your setup and they will allow you to listen to them in a room until your are satisfied i think they were catering more for the classical market
Good luck with your neighbours keep banging on the wall to keep my T-rex under control
Does it come with an annoy your neighbour significantly guarantee? Thats all I’m interested in!
Thanks for posting and a belated welcome to hotukdeals, we have added this to the Highlights section
Anyone know how these are with music?

Anyone know how these are with music?

Professional reviews tend to agree they are very good. As an owner of both the 7000 and 7000i, I can confirm that they are very good for music.
I have these in the matt white and they are fantastic speakers, well made and ready sound is excellent for the size. Very clear. Wasnt expecting much for satellites but extremely impressed.
