Out of stock though at beyond television. Good price though if you can get one from them.

Optimumsaver

£569 from Beyond TV with SAVE20 discount code. (Was £549 last week).

Just arrived via TNT. Good delivery with tracking. Installed (by myself may I add) and tested. Seems very quiet and has lots of programmes. Will have to study the user manual! Build quality is 8/10 if compared to a Miele, in line with Bosch and Siemens. Seems like a great machine in comparison to the ageing AEG we took out. Personally think it’s a good deal in comparison to something else in the same price region of £475 (after cashback) with an equivalent warranty, programmes and build quality. Would recommend Peter Tyson Appliances and Samsung if looking within the £500 mark.

We bought the 12kg version it is fantastic even reduces washing time according to the load weight.

Sorry for not replying earlier. I just tell the shop manager wherever I go what I am willing to pay for a specific item and see if they are willing to match it. Honestly, if you don't ask you don't get. I got a Miele washer dryer for £850 when it was on sale at £1150 in a Euronics store. You don't have to try to be a wide boy, just be straight forward and tell them you have the cash in your back pocket and you want THAT item. I have done it many times and if they don't want to drop the price you just calmly go to leave without saying "ah well, your loss" or anything like that and try it at the next shop that sells the item. I mean, what have YOU got to lose by asking, absolutely nothing. The list of shops where I've asked for discount is very long and probably 30% of them are now out of business but I can assure you, they never sold me anything that I knew they'd make a loss on.

SweatySock

Where do you 'negotiate' your discounts? Not being sarcastic but have not known UK shops to haggle.

brisbrom

Not hot really. You can get this cheaper just by asking for discount. As for is this better than a cheap £100 dryer then stick to putting your clothes on the radiator to dry. Miele white goods in my opinion are second to none.

SweatySock

Have to admit, I thought this would go cold because of the cost and it's a Miele but are we not all missing the point here...? This is still a significant saving for this model of Miele. If someone was going to buy one anyway then this knocks a few quid off which I thought was the point of this site...? Can anyone point me to a cheaper price?

steviecross

I know but with a car you would get more comfort, faster speeds, built in satnav plus loads more goodies such as electric seats etc. Still my question is what more will this do than a 100 pound dryer

Mine turned up too, 270 instead of the 180. Must be as its late... Better late than never, and the extra ones are accepted as an apology. :)

toneer

mine arrived today too, wondered wtf the parcel was, it was HUGE. 270 washes so cant grumble.. especially as i sent the machine back months ago and bought a Bosch ;)

sparky.shark

Lucky you! Still waiting... Shoddy management of this promotion for sure.

D00nhamer

Detergent arrived today...!

sparky.shark

I got the warranty pretty much the sametime as the others but via the post. Anyone get the detergent yet? I'm still waiting. Also arranged an engineer to come out and check a knocking noise just before it spins fast at the final rinse stage. Looks to be a balancing issue but I've adjusted the feet a few times, and if I place my weight on the top of the washing machine it still occurs. So we'll wait and see what the Engineer says.

i give up, some people just don't get it.

thehitman

I never said they are 'the same'. Effectively the situation is much like the VW/Audi Group where a number of components are shared between VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat etc. They all have different doors, seats, boots etc, much like Bosch and Siemens but there are still similarities under the shell although they are not identical. I also already flagged up the warranty. Anyway, I don't really have to passion to continue an argument, they all clean clothes and are good machines.

checkley73

I was just pointing out they are more disimilar, they have different chassis, different drum, different electronic controls, different doors, different specs and different warranties. If you look at the parts list of a Bosch Classix and compare it to a Siemens you will struggle to find similarity of any significance. As for the engineers they are not one brand of another - they are BSH engineers and repair Bosch, Neff and Siemens appliances. Someone might go for a Bosch thinking its the same as a Siemens based on your comment, which is not a true reflection of fact. and yes I work for the company that produces and sells both. They are both good, but different.

thehitman

They may possibly be produced in different factories but they share the same components and part codes. If you call out an engineer you will get a Siemens technician turn up on your doorstep so I think you'll find they are 'essentially' the same. I was only highlighting that they use mainly the same parts (DNA) not that they are 100% identical. The warranty is part of the reason that Siemens machine cost more. I would have gone for another Siemens but the LG I purchased for less than half the price and have no complaints thus far.

xigent

No I’m not joking. I have a Hoover Ecologic that has been given 20 years of hard use. I understand that spare parts are still available at a reasonable price and there are still a lot of these machines in service. Miele have made good washing machines in the past and they may still do so, but they are very expensive to buy. After the warranty has expired, you have to hope that nothing goes wrong because Miele have arranged things in such a way that you have little option but to use their expensive repair service. If someone knows a good way of getting round the Miele repair cost problem, that would be very interesting.
