How much petrol does it generate? Does it work out cheaper than going to the garage?

Looks good for illegal raves ;-)

What's the output waveform like? Can you run sensitive electronics from this?

How noisy is it?

It will be modified Sine Wave. How much do you care if they fry?

Its 96dB(A) (noisy) - lidl-service.com/sta…pdf

What's the Max Current?

*EDIT* - looks like 11Amps, pretty decent.

Heat, hope the Lidl 4 stroke one is better (Lidl gear usually is) but my friend had an Aldi 2 stroke one on his burger van and didn't last 5 mins.

4 Stroke is superior to 2 stroke though, for reliability and noise.

If it was diesel you could of run it on cooking oil

I do hope you are not serious. If so, the country is doomed.

Clever of you to find the manual. Thank you.

It would be used to power the central heating and to run some important medical equipment, so I'd care a very great deal if either is fried.

LpA sound pressure level: 76 dB(A)
LWA sound power level 96 dB(A)

I read that as rather loud - SPL 76dB is equivalent to someone shouting at a distance of 3 feet away - loud enough to get complaints from neighbours, I fear

the fact you thought it was serious is what has me worried

Do you believe that there are people out there that wont make a comment like that

Need to read the title.

'Petrol generator'.

BEWARE! I hope no one is 'Recklessly producing household electricity'...

And I was about to ask what's the quality of electricity produced by this because I've read in another thread that e-on delivers poor quality electricity..:)

Doesn't sound ideal.

This type are loud and I wouldn't trust one to run 'sensitive' equipment personally.
But, say a honda with extra silencing that produces the same power is going to be pretty costly to buy new. (The EX4000 which came with my motorhome is a little more powerful and would cost £3.5k new!)

4 strokes always better than 2?

I like how your version of the joke was much funnier than the one above..............:{

Remember that you can put 'Tax Free' Petrol into this ... just 49p a Litre, show your receipt for it at the petrol station and BINGO!

Can you really?

Yeah, I've got a big Generator with a 10 Gallon Tank ... I say it's in the boot of the car (sometimes I get the filler for the car and generator mixed up, oooops!)

Just what i needed for my zombie apocalypses survival kit.
Just need some Mr. Brains Faggots!

exemption not for petrol.

meant to add this is petrol generator so tax exemption is NOT applicable on this

Great for those doomsday scenarios!

If you need something like this then spend more to get a decent one. Needless to say if you don't need one why buy something you are unlikely to use!

Mr McKenzie's make-shift system is said to have involved a fuel generator suspended from his ceiling by ropes.... oh for a picture....

Hot, I was looking for a generator to put in my electric car to charge while driving.
Wonder why they didn't think of that...

Anyone knows the mpg in this? aaaaah meant petrol/hour?

THIS GENERATOR IS AMAZING IT CAN POWER UPTO 10 HOUSES

I could swear some manufacturer does have one.

It's not a new concept and has been used in trains for many years.

(It's why you may hear a train revving it's engine before leaving, then going quiet as it actually pulls away - it's charging the capacitors to give it an extra shove to get it moving.)
