These spray citronella at your dogs snout to stop them barking. My dogs aren't the brightest but even they learned not to bark in a day. Not to be left on the dog unsupervised or when not home but great for training your dog quickly not to bark. I only had to put the collar on each of them for a few hours a day for a week and after that I just put the collar on switched off if they go back to their barking ways. I also only used outside as they went mad when someone walked by the gate or when birds landed on the wall. In the house they both still talk/bark and are as noisy as ever but then they have never worn the collar in the house.

Please don't use this. A) it's cruel and B) you don't know how the dog is going to react to it. It's as likely to become aggressive as to stop the unwanted behaviour.

You need to be home to observe your dog for the couple of hours they wear the collar. I don't see how a dog could become aggressive from some lemon smell. Of course I sprayed myself first. It has safety features built in too so if your dog barks because it has been sprayed then your dog wont get sprayed again as the collar shuts off. This is not an electric shock collar in case you didn't see that. Its a lemon spray.

Did it stop you barking then?

Don't think it will stop mine though as she tends to bark at lemons and the lemon plug in glade freshener that we have. She doesn't mind the other scents though.

I haven't barked since but I am more suspicious of lemons. One of mine likes to bark at mens voices on the radio, no issue with a glade freshner as we use yankee candles but I know the ones that hiss. Sounds comical

Honestly I had trouble training them to stop barking when people walk by/near the gate. They think they are doing a great job at scaring away the neighbours. When I stood outside with them, they wouldn't go near the gate as they wanted to play with me. This was the only way I found to solve the problem without preventing opportunity.

There are some good videos on YouTube that MAY help.
The idea is to distract your dog just at the point of barking.
Its hard work, good luck
