Peugeot 308
2.0 GT Line 150 BlueHdi

6+36 @ £215.99 per rental.
8000 miles

Ordered my wife a 208 a couple of weeks back, now I'm looking for a 308.

This is best price I have seen for the 2.0 GT. CHAL has the GT at £267 or £310 for same mileage and payment profile. So £214.99 seems hot to me.

As always with a mobile post I missed something out...

Retailer is Gateway2Lease

Profile is actually 6+35 not 6+36 as stated in post.

I am quite disappointed this has gone cold... I genuinely thought it was a good deal.

Any cold voters want to share there thoughts as to why it's not a good deal, and maybe point me in the direction of a better one?

Because you can have something half decent for this sort of money n not run a poxy Peugeot!

You can actually get a new B class Merc auto for less that that.

"Because you can have something half decent for this sort of money n not run a poxy Peugeot!"

Thats a bit unfair really. I wont comment on hot or cold as have not researched but I know plenty of people with 308s with no problems and really low running costs, e.g. mpg (very impressive) and nil road tax.
I would have gone for the BMW 335 x-drive mentioned the other day, but that is because I like top marque cars (and under £10k for a lot more car)

I agree that you can get a lot better for your money.

The thing about lease deals is that, just because it's the cheapest deal for a particular model of car, doesn't mean it's a good deal.

For example, the cheapest deal I can see for a Dacia Duster is £8,208 over 3 years. Would you consider this a good deal for a car costing less than £10,000 to buy new?

There's nothing unfair about my statement at all. Would you run one knowing you could have a prestigious brand for the same money? They have very economical models too with low tax, they are also not butt ugly, built cheaply or feel like they might fall apart at any moment too...

No, I wouldn't. I drive a Porsche. But I drive my mums 308 110bhp tdi auto (2011) for long journeys sometimes and I get a true combined 72mpg. Its not so bad really 'most' high end diesels don't return the stated mpg. I accept your point though..

Because vw are so reliable now and.dp well in in jd power survey NOT.Last car I would even have given and so boring just like the people that drive them.

I drive a new peugeot 308, drives perfectly, better than my previous 3 year old golf. Engines are fantastic, fuel economy excellent and the gt looks brilliant too.
