theguardian.com/lif…ame

There's a message on the shelf at my local Asda saying something on the lines of "the advertised online price of PG Tips t bags is incorrect and this item is not on offer"...... That was yesterday so maybe things have changed today.

hope its true as LOVE pg:-)

I had a click and collect today which I was charged £2.97 for the tea

Wow. I'd boycott that store. Talk about tight.

Great

Hate shops buying in bulk to sell off, and we miss out with out of stock. Should place a limit per customer!

got 3 today...cracking price ...voted hot mate

i hate shops like TESCO that place an illegal limit limits are only legal if clearly shown in the advert. Otherwise this is known as bait advertising and is illegal. but both tesco and sainsbury do it at least morrisons say there is a limit.

Hot - not Tetley! Tetley have no oomph to them, no tannic bite. They're like drinking milky water that's a bit funny tasting. Sainsburys's own fair trade 40's that cost 20p are as good. Twinings have that horrible perfumy note, even the everyday ones. These or the breakfast teas from Aldidl-dee-dee are much better if you want something you actually taste. If you have sugar in your tea then drink whatever. That's baby's tea, that is.

huh? I have always found PG Tips to be weak...even after leaving the bag in there for ages. Tetley is much stronger. Twinning are terrible and weak too.
Best Tea is Clippers imo

Cold - not a pyramid but a tetrahedron.

(No, I'm not serious. But there are people with equally stupid comments who are).

No free chimp!

voted hot. Quality Tea, but its all upto your taste buds.. I'm now fan of Typhoo

Tea bags are made weaker and charge you the same price. Cold turkey for me!!!

Cold when left on the side too long after pouring. Good price though.

£40 min online spend now too.

No point of sale, just on normal shelves, normal price tag but nearly half gone in Doncaster today. Bought two packets, great price.

Ooh, not had that, will have a look out for it. I know tea blends are different in different parts of the country and blended to try and be the same taste depending on the hardness of the water so I wonder if Tetley blend here is cack.

Anyone remember Kardomah tea? It was leaves and dirt cheap but really good and you can't get it any more. It might have been in one of the defunct supermarkets like Kwik-Save.

Thanks got a few today

Just bought two boxes of these t bags at £2.97 from Asda in Nuneaton, member of staff stated that the packaging could be changing so Asda are selling these boxes off

These were £5 instore tonight, but are still showing as £2.97 online. Looks like I missed out, nevermind.

Not really a reduction in price. Most supermarkets sell most brands for approximately £1 per 80 tea bags in boxes of 80,160, 240 etc.

Excellent ! Tesco charge £5.50!

£3 in Iceland

Bought two boxes, so hopefully it will last to the next offer which arrives at a supermarket

Not my cup of tea.

I'll stick with Yorkshire tea.
Good deal tbf.

Doesn't come with a monkey :-(

This stuff is as weak as pee!
Get a proper cup of Typhoo down ya.

Good deal. Heat added.

Brilliant offer. Good quality Teabags. On my grocery order for delivery today....TYPHOO...WHO????.

PG tips teabags were great until they reduced the tea content recently. They're more like Happy Shopper teabags now. Cold from me.

only £2.24 in tesco at the moment
