PG Tips 80 Cups Tea Granules £0.75 @ Asda Benton

LocalFound 19th Feb
I just came back from Asda Benton, and they had jars of these reduced to 75p each. Naturally I grabbed myself a few.
I'm not sure if this is national or not. possibly it's Benton only.

sounds disgusting and pointless
2 things wrong with it
1 its granules, 2 its PG
on the upside its not Typhoo

I cant heat tea that I wouldn't heat a kettle for.
post a Yorkshire Tea deal, we do things proper in Yorkshire (no bloody granules)
Granules? I thought they stopped making these in the 80s!
Abomination. This with KFC's closing, what further signs could there be that we are entering the End Times

I hope you do know Yorkshire Tea is not actually from Yorkshire. It's from the other side of the continent.

Where in Europe is tea grown??? Think you've got your facts wrong buddy.
Be careful, this is vile!
Tried this as it was cheap - found it disgusting and threw it away immediately!

It's from a different continent actually but it is blended in Yorkshire which is where it gets its name.

Good deal
Tea granules are indeed for those who prefer that unique vending machine taste.

Even better than teabags is loose tea in a brewing basket and you can put in exactly how much tea you want. About a bag and a half's worth in my case.

oh really? i thought we had massive tea fields in Yorkshire, are you trying to tell me the weather is not good enough for growing tea in the uk?
this is all sarcasm.
yes i know Yorkshire tea is imported but the blend is far better than pg or typhoo.

What i didn't know is that tea was grown in Europe
than that's me being facetious.

Oh don't get me wrong, I really don't! I just appreciate that my opinion on whether its nice doesn't have any bearing on whether its a good deal. I think I did have in once many years ago, its kinda like vending machine tea as somebody has stated above. I've just switched from bags to leaves, so definitely not for me,

You think THIS stuff is bad?, I once bought (as a punt) ASDA's "Smart Price" Tea bags (green n white packs back in the day) AKA the SWEEPINGS off the FLOOR methinks 1 sip was ALL it took to convince me the BEST place for this this this ABOMinATION, was the BIN, and if it were a RACE between em?, I'm thinking we'd be looking at a PHOTO FINNISH
also in Corby... tasts like a tea but without the fuss of taking bag out
Tea Granules came before tea bags folks.

horse and cart came before cars.
