    I liked it. Those reviewers were probably comparing it to old EA games that were far less difficult and more arcade like than this.

    Worth it for £14. Lacks content like many official courses/tournaments and real players. Another bug bear is you never see your caddy and the patrons watching on are laughable. Still had alot of fun with it, £14's good enough.

    How is this compared to the Rory McIlroy one on XBox? If gameplay is similar can you still use the 3 click method on the controller to take shots or does it force you to use the joystick?

    It's sitting on 76% on Metacritic so not an "awful game on every level" according to the reviews. I really like everything HB put out. At its heart it's a really good golf sim that doesn't have all the bells and whistles of EA's Tiger Woods games. The course creator is superb.

    The game has issues but is probably the closest you can get to golf in a game. The one problem it doesn't have is lack of courses, there are thousands of user made ones (loads done to an incredibly high standard, often better than those made by 2k) and include many LIDAR ones. There are plenty of PGA courses (probably all of them by now) and even some of obscure local municipals. It is far more challenging than the previous 2019 game.
