The Phanteks Eclipse P400A breathes performance with its full metal mesh front panel. Thanks to engineering improvements we have been able to create an Ultra-Fine Performance Mesh that brings the best possible performance while keeping dust from entering the system.

Strength & Performance

Full-Metal Mesh Front Panel

The single-piece front panel is made from an Ultra-Fine Steel Mesh. This mesh catches dust, adds structure and strength, and is part of the P400A's seamless design.

Improved Airflow

The P400A chassis has improved airflow to keep your system cool. The optimised High Air-flow Mesh Front Design offers maximum cooling performance.

Integrated Digital-RGB Lighting and Expansion

The integrated Digital-RGB lighting can be easily controlled with the Mode and Colour buttons. The Digital-RGB Controller can also be expanded and synced to a compatible motherboard.

Cooling Capacity

The Eclipse P400A has a range of possible fan and radiator locations up to 360mm for both 120mm and 140mm fans.

Storage Capacity

The P400A supports 3 x 3.5" HDDs and 2 x 2.5" SSDs out of the box with easy to use trays and vibration dampening. There is space for an additional four drives with the optional PH-HDDKT_02 brackets.

Bare in mind that this has worse thermals than the black version due to the white paint making the air holes more narrow.

Hence the white being cheaper. Buy this case if you want really low temperatures though. It is a tad cheapy feeling though.

I thought that was a myth

It's proven but it's obviously not a huge difference. I wouldn't pay tooooo much attention to it. It is the reason why the white is cheaper though, pretty sure of it.

Because it is. Gamer nexus proved it, and proved it again by spraying the black one with white and had negligible difference. Why the price difference? Possibly because everyone genuinely believes that myth without researching further. I have the white one and I didn't buy extra fans for the case and its cool as a cucumber
I have the p400s special edition and it's a stunning case and great to build with. A good quality case fan will always help with air flow and temps.

Nothing to do with that.

Their is all sorts of reasons ranging from production cost and volume produced.

White is cheaper to produce this is why in the past you saw that cream white sort of colour the only difference now is its more gloss which is mostly just a coating.

if were talking about an item of say black tshirt on a warm day vs a white tshirt, we all know that rule but a case?
now using that science, if we had a metal box being black that will heat up quicker, and a white case will reflect direct sunlight, for the ones which have a pc near to there window?

so black would be worse, thats if u look at this as a metal box with no fans, but then most cases have some form of plastic to them anyways..

i dont see the logic, not saying ur wrong, cant get my head around this one....

time to investigate further...

does the white coating mesh restrict airflow on the front vs a black coating mesh on this case?
- if theres any truth to this, its ever going to be marginal.

Can these cases take Corsair AIO coolers?

yeah, either at back of the front fans or at the top no problems, 240mm (top takes 2x140fans too)

Does it depend on what motherboard you have? Cause the motherboard placement in my current case is way too high up to have a AIO anywhere near the top?
ToxicHazard14/06/2020 11:18

A complete myth.

Im looking into it and its like 1-2 degrees which could potentially just be pure chance . Not worth ignoring the white over. Especially when its much cheaper.

Buy buy buy.
Hi guys, quick question for a potential build once the x570 msi tomahawk might be finally and properly available.
Which case would you recommend, this 9ne as in this whita 400a or the meshify c or I've jus seen the be quite 500 dx. Not too interested in leds but looking for a white case.
Thanks

very good Question, i dont see it being a problem with this..

if a case suggest it can take 2x140mm fans at the top that general gives a great impression to avoid such issues your thinking.

im incorrect here, it cant. i looked into it more:

so only at the front on this one.

The P400 is a great case but the 'A' version is hopeless, the grill is literally that with no filter and it will fill with dust in days, this is from personal experience!

This or the Fractal Meshify C?

This or the Fractal Meshify C?

for me: P400A.
but the mesh c is a nice decent case too. but out the two id go for the p400a myself. i know the mesh C is a very populer case, personal desire comes to play here.

have a look here for final results: pcpartpicker.com/bui…ds/

have a look under the case tab for some ideas on completed systems. both have good reviews so neither is wrong.

I had the exact same dilemma and opted for phanteks case...just make sure your motherboard supports DRGB with so you can use the software to change the colours of the fans...if not you'll just have to push the button on the case to change
How does this compare to a Cooler Master MasterBox MB511?

I ended up going with the Be Quiet 500DX, competes with them both according to Nexus Benchmarks and it ticks the boxes for me in terms of compact and subtle RGB:

My pc is under table, I and I am using wireless everything. Headphones and mouse. If I put dongles in back ports, connection is unstable. And I like my table as empty as possible, so no hubs. I don’t have these problems if dongles are in front ports, so 2 of them is constantly occupied, and the rest are for flash memory, for me- all four are mostly in use, and I would like to add more front usb, but then they would obstruct my beautiful rgb case fans 😁😁
