awesome

Its cheaper but only 110 bar.

AND if you ring up the hotline number on the side of the box guess who you get thru to?

KARCHER!

It is made by them.

I have one and it is an excellent bit of kit.

My only gripe (The newer ones might have been improved) is that, being tall I have to stoop to pull it along and it's a little weighty to carry.

EDIT: Oh, and the rotary brush is useless - Don't bother with it.

That pressure washer seems to be £69.99 now, £10 less but compare the watt and bar pressure:

Nilfisk: 1400 watt / 110 bar

Lidl: 2100 watt / 150 bar

I think this would be worth it for £10 more, but if anyone else also thinks otherwise let me know, as i'm due to buy the Aldi one when its available

The nilfisk is still a good buy, its a 440l/ph compared to this 450l/ph despite the vast wattage difference. I feel the real difference between the two is likely to be the pump, the Nilfisk stuff is metal pump but I believe alot of the Karcher stuff is part plastic and wears\breaks more easily. From the mains I believe I've read a few times on detailing forums that your never likely to achieve more than 110 bar anyway without a generator though I'm not sure about the source on that.

Now i'm stuck choosing between them both , thanks for the info - if anyone else has anything to add that would be helpful as i'm very undecided between the two

This might not help any but ]this is also a fantastic offer, its a better model than the one Argos have but comes with more attachments if you plan on using it for more than cleaning the car.

OOps. I think you are correct.

I ALWAYS get those two confused.

And it LOOKS very similar with similar specs so it might be worth checking out.

If not Karcher , then I would advise waiting for the Aldi one to come back - Same price.

]This might be of help

Or the ]Wickes one at £120.00 seems pretty good

Apparently ALDI are using cheap ones now not re-branded Karchers (someone said on another washer post last week)

I think it may be a Lavor one lidl have used them before and it has the same handles as the lavor ones. Also same handle as this one from argos

and the wicks one is the same handle as the lavor one that has a pressure gauge on it

For certain when you ring the Aldi helpline for the pressure washer you don't get through to K'Archer but cleanerworldgmbh. Or rather you get through to an answer machine. I bought an Aldi one 4 years ago which worked for 3 years and then bought another a year ago to replace it. I got it out last week and it leaks so now I have to find out if they will repair it under warranty - I suspect the hard frost got to it.

I have the Aldi patio washer and I think it is great. If the Lidl one is similar I would recommend it. I think they are K'Archers as the replacement nozzles for the patio cleaner are exactly the same as the K'Archers.

When this thing works it's far superior to the lower powered units (you can get cleaning done a lot faster) but it looks like you have to keep well out of frost as they appear to have plastic pumps which don't hold up well.

Yes Aldi are now selling cheap Chinese washers, there last one was a Chinese one and not a Karcher.

Will prob grab this one next week, although the way things are going I expect several more deals to come!

I doubt any deals will come for pressure washers of this power. The equivalent K'Archers from memory are about £200.

anyone know what ones take the karcher acessories, i have had two karchers in two years both broke :-( so i want to stay away but i have a few tools for them

Better get down there on Thursday then!

I am 99% certain this is from the same stable as the K'Archers and if it is the same as the ones Aldi used to do then you just need to file a bit off the 'wings' of the K'Archer attachment connector and they fit into the pressure washer gun.

Good price, but I had a mains driven pressure washer a few yrs back and rarely used it due to the hassle of running extension cables, and its unimpressive performance. There was also the concern of the water spray landing on the electrics.

Instead, i upgraded to a petrol one last yr, and its soooooooooo much better - no messing around with power cables, shifts more water, and is much more powerful than any electric version in its price band.

It not only the pressure rating you need to look at when buying a pressure washer. Arguably, its the flow rate that is more important. A decent pressure with low flow rate basically means the size of the spray will be small - making the job much more fiddly and time consuming. A good pressure coupled with good flow rate will blast a larger area.

Also, ignore the maximum pressure - its the WORKING pressure that really counts.

Go petrol, guys. I paid £155 delivered for mine (new, on ebay).

The working pressure on mine (and presumably this too) is 120 bar.

What is it on your petrol model and what make/model is it?

Note in N. Ireland LIDL have this priced at £5 more - £84.99. First time I have seen them price things like this differently:

Ah... I couldn't see any details on the UK site - indeed it doesn't look like a K'Archer as it has an aluminium pump. This is great news (that it has a metal pump) as I am sure that if my Aldi one had a metal pump it wouldn't be leaking now from probable frost damage. So it's now a matter of whether my attachments will work on it. For the extra £5 you get it 3 days earlier than the rest of the UK so you can let us know!

Parkside is just lidl's rebrand name for it's stuff

I do hope it is not a Laver as they don't seem to get rave reviews

Ummm. Bad reviews.

It was Lavor last year :

Rapidly going off the idea now. It doesn't look like any of the Lavor models I have seen though.

No but the handles are the same and it has the same motor and some other specs as that last lavor/lidl deal. I looked through the entire lavor (in Italian) catalog last night to find something that looked the same the only thing that was the same was the handles on the lance and winder for the hose. From other reviews people are also saying that the lavor distributors are not honoring the 3 years guarantee from the superwash 150 from last years lidl deal (and it costs 75p per min to call them!! if thats true?!)

This years one:
With auto start-stop system
2100W high-pressure pump made from Aluminium
6m high pressure hose
5m power cable
500ml detergent
Ultra powerful 450L/h
Max. pressure 150bar
Max. work pressure 110bar
3 year manufacturer's warranty
£79.99
Last years one:
Automatic stop system
2100 watt motor
High pressure hose, length (m): 6
Mains cable length approx. (m): 5
Cleaning detergent (ml): 500
Flow rate (l/hr): 450
Max. pressure (bar): 150
Max. operating pressure (bar): 110
3 year manufacturer's warranty
£79.99

Seems like they have just changed the outside and stuck a diffrent name?

Hmm, having second thoughts now then.

Yep. Me too. Having seen the comments on Lavor I decided to open up my leaking Aldi/K'Archer one. It turned out to be a leaking plastic connector probably caused by frost damage - and replaceable at £7. I had rung the K'Archer/Powercraft helpline last Friday to try to get it fixed under warranty. I had to leave a message and they still haven't got back to me... so when I found out it was only £7 to fix it myself I went for that option.

They have not got back to you - does any company have good helplines/warranty/customer service/guarantees anymore? They may aswell put 10000000000000 years life time Guarantee on it as they are really not going to sort anything anyway. [email protected]

Did you have to leave a message on an anwerphone? I rang twice and got an answer machine both times. Still waiting for them to get back to me. Was your problem likely to have been caused by frost?

I left a message and they rang back about an hour later, im not sure what the problem was it keep pulsating and not turning off the motor when you let go of the trigger, they replaced the hose and lance not sure if they did anything to the motor

So, anyone gonna get one? The one I borrowed has broken, so I have half a clean drive! Thats a karcher, power is now permanently on (switch does nowt) and its always trying to pressurise.

So what is the verdict on this one, good/bad?

Also, are the patio attachments worth it or will ti clean a patio easy enough without the attachment?

Bought one on monday, the plastic turbo dirt blaster nozzle cracked after 45mins .So i take it back for refund.
Definitely not Lavor .The Lavor one lidl have sell before was far more powerful and heavy.I think this one only use universal Motor .

******, wish I'd read this before leaving the house! Dropped into Lidl on the way to work, they only had one left so thought I'd give it a go. Will see how it is later.

I wouldn't fret too much tek, I bought one and it works a treat! I've been outside for over an hour and It has cleaned up my path great, which was really filthy! No problem with any leaks or splits and it looks and feels very well made also the pressure is immense.

I'm not sure who makes them but the service centre is in the West Midlands DES UK Ltd. and it's made be Grizzly.

It has an Aluminium pump and light construction for easier moving around. I'm very happy with it for £80!
