Perfect - been looking for these to come down - almost pulled the trigger on amazon at 15% off when buying two but this is £8 a pack cheaper
Looks like im going to be sending some of the bulbs I got from the AO 20% offer back! With a mixture of this and the Amazon deal, going to save myself a few quid!

Was looking at getting the IKEA £12 GU10's - As these work out £14.66 per bulb, do you reckon its work the exra £2+ per bulb over the IKEA ones?
Im going for these as I have a bridge already with light strips and 2x candle bulbs. Im looking at getting nest too and as it works with Hue and Alexa together I dont mind paying a bit more to have it all controlled through one system.

Nest x Hue integrations are always developing and it works with Nest Cam, Protect & the Learning Thermostat.
Im sure the Ikea ones will do the job too but as it will tie together for me this is great, ordered 18 bulbs.
Have had to put through as 3 orders though as it doesn't seem to double the discount when ordered 6 in one transaction

Personally for the tiny additional cost I would get the Hue ones. At regular price I would get the IKEA ones. Here's a little comparison: smarthomereviews-eh.ca/phi…on/

Do the bulbs integrate with the thermostat in some way? I know the protect does, wasn't aware the thermostat did too.
How bright are these, as I currently have some GU10 led bulbs that are 400 Lumen and these are only 250 Lumen.

From what I've seen/read the camera can notice when you're not home and control lights according to what you set, the thermostat is stated to notice when you're not home and reduce energy, so no reason to see why this can't talk to the bulbs but I guess I'll see when everything is hooked up.

The IKEA TRÅDFRI GU10 bulbs are labelled as 400 lumen, if that's any use.

I have it setup but don't see any integration tho, would be a nice idea to use the Nests motion sensor to trigger the lights but I don't think that's possible right now. Both the thermostat and Hue use your phones location to determine home/away status.

Just use IFTTT. The bulbs can change colour when the heating comes on and change to a blue/green when the temp is cooling.

So if there is a fire the protects shuts down the thermostat or if there is a carbon m leak too. It should if u switch on the function then turn on lights so u can see to get out the house.
Seems to be just on bulbs. Doesn't work with LED strips and accessories....or am I doing it wrong?

It's just the ones that clearly state 3 for the price of 2
What’s the difference between this and normal light bulbs

I find hue much better on reliability and the light spread I personally think is nicer.
I sent my ikea bulbs back after getting sick of the hue hub saying they weren't connected and ending up getting stuck on or off
If you don't already have experience with smart lighting, go with and stick with Hue. Generally, it just works and works brilliantly.

Tradfri isn't ready for prime time. If you're a smart lighting geek, you can integrate the bulbs into your Hue setup (or if you're a total masochist, use a completely Tradfri setup.) It's improving, but it's not ready for normal people. It's seriously buggy (setup, reliability, integration).
Great deal OP. I da loves me some Hue.

I should point out though, "Phiips Hue Lights - 3 for 2 & Mix and Match @ AO", there's an L in PHILIPS.
Amazon doing 3 for 2 - Works out better then this deal

Agree with you both. I bought some Tradfri GU10's to do the less important rooms in the house. I've had a few become unreachable, so just replaced them with Hue bulbs now. Far too much hassle pairing them up with the Hue bridge.
