Not sure if the specs are the same as the Aldi one (currently at £49.99), but this looks a reasonable price to me, currently 20% off in Play.com. If you don't live near an Aldi, this should be an ideal one. But before you go with this, check if your local B&Q has a cheaper one (only instore) as I understand their prices vary greatly between different branches (between £40 and £105).

Specifications

* Complete kit with everything you need to receive free-to-air satellite TV
* Includes 60cm dish, receiver, cabling, LNB, compass & meter
* Compass and meter help you achieve pinpoint dish alignment
* Packed in a colour box, with full instructions

--Edit:
Seems like B&Q £40 Satellite kit was a promotional price; it is now back to £105 as I inquired a few branches.

looks exactly the same as the one in B&Q at £40 plus obv 15% atm

It's an ok price if you can put up the dish it yourself.

I got a Sky installation for £73 which includes installation and the dish is much smaller. I got a 4x lnb and can have up to 4 receivers connected to my dish, get all freesat SD channels and HD when I am ready. I think it's better value because if you want to connect extra receivers to the play.com/B&a…p;Q set, you would need to buy an extra lnb for aroend £15.

Note: Sky and Freesat and HD Freesat broadcast from the same Satellite. If you have an existing Sky dish, you don't need a second one, just change the lnb to a quad 4x lnb and you can receive all Freesat channels. You can also connect a HD receiver to the same dish and receive HD Freesat channels (there aren't a lot at the moment)

Freesat is a sub-category of free-to-air. However, you can receive freesat in two forms: by terrestrial entenna AND satellite dish and receiver.

Not hard to do.
Small is NOT an advantage if you want to use it with different satelllites - even Sky needs a bigger dish in some areas for better performance.

I'm afraid that this information is incorrect, they are unrelated and broadcasting totally different programming.
As for the satellite receivers mentioned in this thread, basically they are all the same come out of the same factory, just have a different badge on the front.;-);-);-)

Aldi one tomorrow is only £49! Sorry would have given link but ALDI have updated offers, so tomorrows are not on the site!
