Incredible price for Extra Virgin Olive oil. Well worth the trip to your local Costco.

Sainsburys sell this at £6.04 for just 1 litre... so 5 litres would set you back £30.20
Asda sell 500 ml for £3.44.... so 5 litres here would set you back £34.40

Liquid Gold!
I just paid £16.99 for 5l which i thought was good as we only use Olive Oil in cooking so this, for me is a scorcher.

Yeah but it's not like just anyone can nip down to Costco, you need a Trade Card.

I didnt think you could cook with extra virgin olive oil? thought it was just for salads n dressings etc.

Anyway you dont need a trade card for Costco, you can get individual cards - but you do need a qualifying job, my wife's a civil servant and that does.

Depends on How and What you are cooking. Besides you can use anything edible for cooking there's no law against what can be used for cooking at home.

BUT certainly no good for deep frying.

nice with vodka

the prob with extra virgin oil is it starts to burn at lower temps than say sunflower oil but said that i use it for most cooking no problem good deal.

Being chartered engineer has its advantages.

using extra virgin olive oil for cooking is considered a waste, as the delicate flavours evaporate with the cooking, so proper chefs have a different oil for cooking.

I can't be bothered to have 2 different oils in the kitchen, so extra virgin olive oil is used for everything. I tend to use a 'cheap' one from LIDL or ALDI. Its too smoky at high temps for stir fry though.
