Hi, this may sound weird, but my kid knocked my 22" Samsung and im in the market for a replacement, what would the sound be like on these?

Never really noticed great sound on any monitor, could still be fairly cheap to just buy a standard 2.1 set of speakers though.

Thats a great price...

They've got 923 in stock too.

H E A T !
That sounds really good value - thanks OP
Before I order it can somebody that knows please just assure me that this is the best monitor around at under £100 for Xbox 360 gaming in terms of response time (Am finally caving in to the children's complaints that our current monitor is 'too laggy' for the Xbox - lol!)
Heat added
Ordered one of these and it arrived the next day.

Very nice monitor. Not huge but a huge increase in desktop space over my old 19" 4:3 Hanns monitor.

Very bright with vivid colours.

Very glossy black with touch sensitive buttons, the actual screen is pretty thin and weighs very little.

Speakers are just fine for my needs, which is just system sounds and the odd iplayer video. You really would need to use external speakers or headphones if you were playing games.

Amazing what you can get for under £100 quid these days.
y is this not hotter??

glossy or matte screen?
...and can this be connected from a PC with HDMI out? Description only mentions consoles and SKY?

Looks like you only have VGA output on the motherboard of that system, So just use VGA - VGA for video, 3.5mm Jack for audio, Alternatively get a cheap HDMI graphics card for about £25 quid with HDMI out and just use HDMI to carry the audio and sound in 1 cable. Although to be honest if you just want a budget system, VGA will do the job.
Whats the Monitor like Jamran? is it quite thin?

You can do but its abit pointless really, you wont notice any difference in picture quality, the source is analogue and will remain analogue whatever you do (VGA) so my advice would be just stick with VGA.
ok thanks

so was a bit pointless me buying this monitor?
or will picture quility still b v good?
also i think i read somewhere that ther is a converter for vga to dvi?
I cannto find any reviews on this montor anyone got any comments on here about it?

Its a nice monitor,,,not sure what else there is to say really. Looks slick, nice size and pretty darn cheap. You can get cheaper but for the brand and the connection options I would say this is hard to beat really. Suprised it hasn't had more heat.
The main thing is what is the picture quality like. I am think about gettingthis as a present for someone that is still using a CRT 19" monitor and I do nto want them to be disapointed (xmas present).

Anyone fired it up yet and had a look?
I can't really fault the picture quality. Very bright mines turned down to 60%, good contrast. pretty consistent over the entire screen but I would expect that with LED.I don't play games really but its has a very good stated response time.

For games I would want external speakers.

Run at its native resolution it is very impressive.

Just checked, yes it is in the menu. They have a light setting 4 to 0. 0 being off.
Would I b better of with this one or a 22" hdtv. (led)?
Planning to use it for pc as multimedia n some gaming

you like to ask a lot of questions! you could just compare the specs with other TVs on the market. I'll try sum up this TV for you. The picture quality is VERY good since it is an LED and full HD, and its response time is top notch. The sound is never amazing nowadays so if you want awesome sound, get some nice surround sound speakers. For the specs, connections and size, this is an awesome price! If you have any further questions, ask jeeves
