When it comes to value, there's little to touch the Philips 26PFL5322.

Despite its exceptionally competitive price tag the 26PFL5322 holds little back when it comes to picture technology. The analogue tuner is boosted by Pixel Plus HD. This increases the number of lines and pixels, with the result of much greater detail from HD sources. Added to this is a 3D comb filter which enhances the clarity of all signals, whether they are HD or standard definition.

Although not as good as a separate home cinema system, Philips have also managed to produce decent sound quality from the 26PFL5322. Dynamic bass enhancement gives the sound added body, whilst Incredible Surround gives a more enveloping feel. If this isn't enough there's even a 7-band graphic equalizer that you can adjust to get that perfect balance.

In terms of connections, the 26PF5322 again defies expectations. Twin HDMI sockets cater for 2 High Definition sources whilst twin SCART sockets and a component ensure that all analogue inputs are well taken care of.

Using styling cues from their more expensive models, Philips have designed the 26PFL5322 to a high standard. The black and silver facia fronts a sleek design, and the glass pedestal stand offers a touch of class absent in many competitors.

If it's value and quality you're after in your 26" LCD TV, then you need look no further than the Philips 26PFL5322.

C'mon, you're all gonna want HD capable freeview boxes soon anyhow so it's moot for many. However I understand this didn't get great reviews?! Can't find the review but I recall good HD, bad SD.

If only it had PC input

It does seemingly support a PC but only via HDMI I assume and only at up to 1024x768 which is below par – Philip’s website.
