Thoughts on this anyone?
I need to replace my Acer 23.6” as just old and want something more modern. No gaming, just GoPro video editing for family holidays and general pc use.
I got a pair of these on black Friday for £98 each.
For my eyesight 1080 @ 27 inch is really comfortable.
They are a good basic monitor for office work and browsing HUKD.
The matt surface is great, no reflections.
Speakers make sound but are not great.
Stands are a bit wobbly though, other than that a good buy.

Purchased this last week and I’ve found it to a great monitor for the price!

I’d definitely purchase speakers with it thoughas the ones built in are awful

After seeing some reviews on YouTube, it seems a really decent monitor, especially at this price point! Ordered last night, arrives today - cheers op!

I wonder how working with excel spreadsheets would look like on a 4k 27”. Any ideas? I have a 24” hd screen but need another one for home office
I wonder if this is good enough to watch TV on... I mean Chromecast, Amazon etc, not really bothered about terrestrial TV.

it would look a bit small. but you can scale. (zoom)
btw this is just 1080... not 4k.
Its a good screen.
This looks like a nice monitor.
Any good as a gaming monitor?

Yea would take this for any video editing. ips screen and has speakers so not bad for the price. Only gripe is this is 1080p, I would go 1440p at this price if you have the money to splurge.

I would spend a bit more for a 24 inch 144hz display (seen then go for around 140-160) and its easily worth the extra money if you're doing any sort of esports title.

Any recommendations please mate?

I've been looking for a 27inch monitor for a while now. Needs to have a vga port too though.

Is that the same as watching things like youtube also then? Or just when you're trying to chromecast...

Would this work well with a fire stick?

Went with the display port variant for an extra tenner.

Any recommendations on a similar price 1440?
Would need to be a 27" or above though, I have a 24" and it's far too small.

Mine actually arrived today, but if there is a good equivalent then I can always exchange.

The cheapest is the Elemental gaming 1440p 144hz I bought one during an eBay sale for £189 and it works fine though the menu button isn't working for me.

Thanks for the response.
To be fair, £109 for a brand new 27" for what I use it for is decent to me. To pay nearly double I cant justify it..... again just based on what i use it for.
Not saying this isn't still a great deal, but multiple others places have it for the same place, and both it and the DisplayPort version have actually been £10 cheaper.

Reviews seem solid. Crazy what monitor you can get for little money nowadays. Really, if you don't want this one specifically there's plenty similar that are close enough. Not necessarily with built-in speakers though.
Wouldn't touch a Philips again after the last Philips tv i had. Not even at this price!

I know but debating whether to get a 4k or 1080p 27"
Great monitor, have the 22" version of this, the bezelless design is nice, however because the screen isn't enclosed on top and sides I got a small black bug underneath my screen for a week, luckily it found its own way out!

27" screens are great for excel spreadsheets! I'm not saying this monitor specifically but to answer your question. The bigger your screen, lesser strain on your eyes when working with numbers & other data those little excel cells hold. Regards, Paps

I find 27 a bit small at 4k.

In my opinion 4k warrents
Would this be ok for standard office use? And the odd YouTube video. I have also been looking at ultra wide but nothing has fallen within the price range yet.
