Thats great... thanks for the price update & welcome to HUKD littlelion

Has anyone seen any reviews of these Philips drives? I'm struggling to find any by googling...

Is it possible to get any drive that works on usb power without the need for 240v. i've got a ipod video thats 60 gig and that works off usb but not convient. any there other large storage devices for my laptop out there at a good price. 200gig or more would be good.

Yes you can. There are some 2.5" bus powered drives. But none of it can match 3.5" in capacity. In this price range (up to 70 quid) you can get 80GB or if you'll search hard then you might get 100GB (maybe).

which is better the Iomega or the Philips?

hard to answer that really....

both very established brands, you shouldnt really have a problem with either, id suggest that they would be very similar in terms of quality

thanks this is a great bargain
