Don't know much about these particular models, but you can certainly seem to get a lot of screen for a lot less money these days...

Personally I think I'd be swayed more towards the slightly smaller Samsung 40" LE40R88BD if I were looking for a non HD 1080P compliant set.

However, if its this Philips set your after, it worth noting that it would currently be cheaper to buy it online from Dixons making use of their 'GIMME5' weekend promotional code to attract a 5% discount on all purchases over £399.

Dixons typical price is £629.98, delivered. Less the 5% discount makes it £598.49, in addition to which you can earn a further 3% cashback via Quidco (c.£17). Meaning an overall cost of around £581....

known in the trade, philips are easy models to read, 5 series absolute pants, 7series are not bad, 9 series are top notch.
what eva u u do never buy a philips 5 series

Bought my philips 42" 7 series freeview model for the same price six months ago.
