Experience a more involving TV, with the Ambilight-equipped Philips 43PUS6754.

3-sided Ambilight for picture immersion
Ambilight technology is unique to Philips. It makes the screen appear much wider—and your viewing experience more immersive—by emitting an extra wide glow from three-sides of your TV screen onto the surrounding wall. Colour, vibrancy and excitement move beyond the screen and into your living room to bring you a viewing experience beyond the ordinary.

Pixel Precise Ultra HD and Micro Dimming for optimised picture
Unique picture processing sets the Philips apart from its rivals. Pixel Precise Ultra HD delivers smoother motion and life-like picture depth. Micro Dimming analyses the picture across thousands of zones and adjusts it accordingly. This maximises the contrast for life-like images and realism.

Get the best from HDR with HDR10+
For the highest quality picture, HDR10+ offers scene-by-scene HDR mastering for the truest, most accurate HDR picture technology to date. With HDR10+ each scene is optimised, meaning the maximum amount of detail is shown – even in the brightest or darkest moments. The 43PUS6754 also supports standard HDR10 and HLG formats. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.

Dolby Vision for dramatic imaging
As well as supporting HDR10+, the 43PUS6754 is also compatible with Dolby Vision - a leading format in Hollywood and cinemas around the world. Dolby Vision also adjusts the picture to take full advantage of each display's characteristics and presents an optimized picture for each scene in specially mastered content.

Smarter TV from SAPHI
Packing the latest SAPHI smart system, powered by a Quad Core processor, this Philips 43” TV is a slick performer with Smart content, too. Connect up to your home network by Ethernet or Wi-Fi and enjoy access to a wide range of apps including favourites such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube the BBC iPlayer and more. A built-in web browser lets you browse and stream to your heart's content.

Crisp and detailed sound
Compatible with Dolby Atmos sound tracks, the 43PUS6754 has the potential to deliver spacious, enveloping sound. Clear Sound improves dialogue, making it easier to hear individual voices.

Freeview Play for catch-up TV
Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All4 and Demand 5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the internet and you're good to go.

Fully connected
Three HDMI sockets make it easy to connect a Blu-ray player, games console and TV set-top box. All sockets are HDMI 2.0 version with HDCP 2.2, making this TV compatible with UHD Blu-ray players and most 4K HDR streaming services. Other connections include twin USB sockets, featuring recording to a compatible USB device. Throw in an optical connection for a soundbar/base plus headphone sockets and you've everything you need from your new TV.

20 quid for 4 years extra warranty and dealing with Richer Sounds instead of AO should things wrong? No-brainer for me but always nice to have a choice. Works out at less than 10p a week!

Do richer sounds price match ao ?

No as they insist the warranty should be comparable. However, my son rang them when he saw a Philips TV 20 quid cheaper at AO and as a goodwill gesture they knocked a tenner off. What's to lose?
For those who may be interested in using this for gaming, the input lag is quoted as 'under 20 ms', so should be pretty good for most gaming...
Whats the peak brightness? Anyone know cheers
Anyone know the input lag for this TV and if it has a game mode? Cheers
Surely Black Friday will have bigger reductions?

Ended up ordering an LG UM7400PLB, input lag is 10ms in standard mode and it has a game mode, couldn't find the exact info for game mode but 10ms is pretty good for a 4k HDR TV.

A Swedish retailer mentions this models game mode has input lag of under 20ms which is very good.
Thanks
I'm hoping for the 7000 series to be around this price black Friday or would Argos do a soundbar combo at this price?

The input lag at that level is the game mode, without it it's like 90ms

Are you sure, where did you find that info? I just had another browse and found that the game mode is actually likely to be 8ms, on other sites it just says 10ms so i assume 10ms is standard and 8ms is game mode. It's an IPS display which are usually praised for low response times so 90ms sounds pretty high for such tech.
I'd appreciate a link to the info you found though. Cheers

Although this shows for the 7300, the results wouldn't be much different.

Game mode is showing around 11ms in game mode and close to 110ms outside of game mode. Usually, if a TV states input lag times, 99% of the time, they are only achievable in game mode.

Ah, I see. I usually always keep game mode on anyway. Thanks for the info

Still glad I chose this over the hisense equivalent, apparently that one is 45ms in game mode. Slightly better contrast though.
just be aware this is not a Philips designed or made TV, apparently all Philips LCD's are designed an made by a Chinese company and just use the Philips brand, so support is will be non existent as Philips are bad enough when they do make a TV

Conversely, TPVision (Hong Kong based for the record) have been instrumental in bringing the superb USP that is Ambilight much further down the range so I guess it's swings and roundabouts. Plus at these sort of price levels the competition, ie Panasonic, Toshiba, LG etc) will have had their sets made for them in Turkey at the humongous Vestel factory. IIRC Philips under TPVision ownership assemble their sets in Poland. Probably from Chinese components but, basically, who doesn't? Like I say, swings and roundabouts...
