Think this is a pretty decent price given the spec (and Android TV). Does have three-sided ambilight despite the picture not really demonstrating it other than having a little label on it.

This Philips 43 Inch 4K Ultra HD TV comes with Android smart TV and the Philips P5 picture processing engine. Philips unique Ambilight technology makes your viewing experience more immersive by emitting a wide glow from three sides of your TV screen onto the wall. Colour and excitement move beyond the screen. Ultra HD has four times the resolution of standard Full HD, this gives sharper, crisper, more detailed images, and with HDR Plus enjoy improved colour and contrast. The P5 Perfect picture engine is the latest 5-in-1 processing engine and optimises sharpness, colour, contrast and motion. Android TV with a quad core processor allows you to go beyond traditional TV programming with the Google Play Store and Philips App Gallery. Experience endless movies, TV, music, apps and games online. With Google Assistant built in you can control the TV with your voice. Please note ITV Hub, ALL4 and Demand 5 UK catch-up apps are not directly available on this TV. 20 W RMS sound output giving deep bass, clear dialogue and amazing accuracy. Wide connectivity options for all your devices: 4x HDMI, 2x USB, Wi-Fi, Antenna, Satellite connector, CI+, Digital optical out, Headphone socket. For added peace of mind all Philips TVs come with a two-year warranty included.

If you can't download ITV Hub, ALL 4 etc. then I doubt you'd get to install NordVPN Shame, I was tempted.

I'm about 99% certain you can still sideload apps onto Android TV

Just going by what you said about "not directly".

I, as most, hate bloatware, but wouldn't expect the OD apps factory installed, as different image/builds for each country, but I do expect them to download from Play/Yalp/F-droid/etc.

Yes, using NordVPN on my Philips running Android TV
App itself comes from play store so no need to sideload

I have installed nordvpn on my 7303 model and it works. I haven't tried ITV hub. You can also cast supported apps from your phone.

It was. And the larger models don't go for much more than this price as well. This isn't too much of a deal, but what can I say, in before someone posts a time machine joke...

This was 379.99 but has dissappeared from the AO website.
Can you get Now TV on this?

I have the 55” and no. If you check on the Now Tv website it’s only lists Samsung and I think one other make. Very disappointing as I had to go out and buy a new stick, rather than the box I have.

That’s a shame. Thanks
Does anyone have this model (or any of the XXPUS73xx series)...
Can you check if the TV can play 4K HDR footage from youtube and actually use HDR? (as in you get the little popup on the bottom right saying HDR enabled).

It seems like Android TV versions of youtube on Philips Android TVs (at least the 43 and 50 inch PUS7303's) cant/dont play HDR..

The Saphi OS version (non android) youtube app on the lower model (67xx) plays in HDR fine, but this one doesn't.
