This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

43" 4k TV with Android TV and that crazy Philips Ambilight stuff going on...

I missed out on the Amazon deal on the 43PUS7303 posted on Friday and have since found this...

Seems to be basically the same TV except for the colour? (can someone confirm..?)

Also, Topcashback are offering £20 back with ao.com for purchases over £399...
- Does anybody know if this means £399 and up or literally has to be over £399..? (would this be included..?)

You can get a bigger 4K TV from a better brand for this price or less.

Bigger - yes, but not necessarily better TV
Got this TV delivered yesterday. Looks fantastic! Obviously not as dark blacks at my OLED downstairs but still very very impressed.. Perfect size for the bedroom too. Don't let the Philips name put you off

Thanks for that, just went down this route for one before they're all gone... Fingers crossed it'll be a good TV

This one or the 50" from amazon for £379?
As I'm not bothered about the android system... Happy with just the freeview play catch up functionality

Now I'm no expert but from what I've been reading, the 7300 series is superior because it has the P5 chip for better image quality and also has Android TV baked in...

For me though, mainly... It had to be 43"... The wife doesn't want the TV to 'take over' the sitting room...

Check this particular model. With VA panel it is superior to most LGs and Samsungs at this price point

Like I said in a comment above though...

Also depends if you actually want bigger.

43" will be ideal for our room, I've seen plenty of people sticking 55" TVs in their front rooms only to find your head panning around it all the time to take it all in!

I’m sure they are okay, but these days £399 for s 43” is a pretty premium price, and they are definitely not a premium product.

What are you talking about? £399 for a TV is not a premium price, £1500 for a TV is premium price.

You linked to a Toshiba as being better than this set. Toshiba never has been a “premium” brand either. If you’re paying £399 for a TV you’re not going to get anything premium but you could definitely find a decent set that suits your needs.

If you’ve had a bad experience with Phillips then fair enough but unless you’ve got some actual substantial facts that back up why this is not a good TV then you’re not really contributing anything to this discussion are you?
I received the 7303 43" yesterday which is the same tv as this.

I would thoroughly reccomend it. Android runs well. I have side loaded several apps. Picture quality is very good, sound is good and the Ambilight is pretty cool too.

No, what are you talking about?

Which 43” TVs are £1500?? I said it was a premium price for the size.

I most certainly did not suggest the Toshiba was better - I said it was equivalent quality, but £120 (30%) cheaper.

I haven’t got any axe to grind with Philips, but they aren’t even Philips anymore (as Toshiba are no longer Toshiba - just to correct you once more, Toshiba used to be very high quality TVs, back in the day...).

If this was £279-£299 like the Tosh, no probs, but everyone on here is getting giddy over Philips TVs. It’s just like Moto phones were a couple of years ago on here, not very good, but 1000 degrees plus every single time.

edit: well that was nice and easy - night Mave and not sure why @bazwinder clicked like, when every single point made by Mavis was wrong

This set is the same as the 7303 just a different stand. The 7303 is the next one up from this reviewed one. The 7 series has the P5 processor, android tv and a better remote control.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Very good remote control also which has a handy keyboard on the back.

If you are sideloading apps they will be made for touch screen devices so you will have to also side load Mouse toggle which allows you to use your remote as a mouse pointer. Rotate screen orientation app forces side loaded apps to display in landscape rather than portrait.

No. Fact.....but its ok you just keep swimming against the tide
Display Specifications seems to differ slightly on the Panel but everywhere I have read the difference is the colour and stand.

Can anyone confirm?

One of the sizes is meant to be an IPS panel but Philips have not published which size it is. That only seems to be stated for the 7303 but I'm sure that also applies to the 7383 that AO sells and 7373 which I have not seen for sale anywhere?

I think that was the only difference I could see in the comparison.
oos at the moment. Back in stock soon apparently
This seemingly looks like the best purchase at the 43" size. I haven't really seen anything to shout about at that screen size though.

One concern is the low peak brightness, but the decent processor, plus Ambilight features might help negate that drawback

What are everyone's thoughts? I'm willing to spend more for a better HDR experience but I'm limited in choice due to a 43" restriction. Smaller 4k displays tend to be without higher end features .

Primarily to be used as an Xbox One X display, btw.

I’m in the same boat as you, after a good spec 43” TV and this seems like it may fit the bill. Also worth keeping an eye out for an AO brochure through your door, they have £30 off codes on them
