Have you seen a TV with ambilight? It is a fantastic feature and not just a gimick like curved tv crap.

I like this type of stand. Much better than the feet at either end.

The ambient lighting looks cool and even better irl
Hovers around the £420-£470 mark, so good price at the moment.

Massive spec and lots of extras, here is correct user manual for this deal:

Not in stock near me and not available for delivery
I bought this the end of last year. Very happy with it so far. Partner took a while to get used to the ambilight but now she likes it too. I got mine from Very with 20 % new order discount and 12 months to pay so if its an option, it may be worth considering
Earlier Philips sets suffered badly with motion blur, what's this like
I have 55" problems with updating software all the time. Advice from support reinstall tv than update. Ambient light is amazing. Picture quality perfect for 4k uhd hdr. Smart features are slow unfortunately. If you can, look for samsung.
How is the HDR on this set? is it HDR10 also?

Everything that advertises HDR compatibility supports HDR10.

In terms of dynamic range it's just a standard TV, there's no wide colour gamut or local dimming system. That's the same as other TVs around this price though, you need to spend a lot more to get a significant increase in dynamic range.

Much better with feet not foot for stability especially those with those child tax credit things running about.
I had the 55" version for a week before sending it back. No direct input for Harmony remotes, overbright whites & terrible vertical motion. Program credits jerking too badly to be readable. The bent coat hanger stand is awful as is the silver plastic bezel.

Support is virtually non-existent since Philips sold the brand to a Hong Kong outfit.

Replaced with a Samsung FHD & it's streets ahead.

What is the software/ menu system like with Philips, I had an old Samsung, great telly, great menu, then bought a Sony, god I hate the appalling Channel selection process, and no previous channel button. Samsung, 2 buttons, done. Sony, minimum 4 or 5 presses, then you can't preselect, the list goes on.
Just a quick note for those wanting or thinking it has android - it doesn't, this is only on models 6400 and above ( ie if you want to have kodi built in)
Very good tv never had a problem always updates and looks very cool with The lights

Wow amazing... so can you still get THAT DEAL????? Time machine????
Got the 43 inch version and love it! It's all very well saying get Sammy/LG etc instead but Philips are the only one who can do Ambilight and it's a massive USP imo. Just wish JL would start stocking them for price match/5 year warranty purposes.
I got this version for £400 from AO back in December. Having a house full of hue it made sense as it pairs to your lights so my whole living room lights change with the ambilight.

Ambilight isn’t a gimmick it’s been around since 2004!

The feet at the end are rubbish too. I'm saying bring back the X shaped Samsung style pedestal. On everything.

Basically it's a light and bulb company so they think about light first, they are thinking disco light is more important in TV than anything else
So, I have a 55 inch Philips tv which I got from Argos last year. As to support, I raised a support case when they moved freeview local transmission frequency last year and some channels went audio only. Philips actually worked it through with me over email and two weeks later issued a global over the air update. Couldn't fault their commitment to rectifying it. Cant comment further on the TV but Ambilight is awesome, but you want the biggest set you can get to enjoy it.

I think it's probably like everything - you get what to you pay for - Ive had the 55pus8601 4 sided ambilight for a while now and can't fault it.

Ambilight looks like a great feature to me. And I plan to get the 9002 when I move house, but I've only seen it in the shop so wasn't sure if there was something I should consider instead.
Philips. wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole.

In my humble opinion, Philips TVs are similar in quality to Vestel/UMC, some fairy lights are stuck on the back, and then they are sold at Samsung/LG level prices.

As I said, just my opinion, but I won’t be falling for their tactics.
