I'm personally not after a huge TV as limited to space (so 43"). I reckon that the Philips ambilight TV on there is a great deal at £389! Is there any difference between this tv:

ao.com/pro…spx

and this ambilight TV (apart from the size obviously, I was thinking internal emchanics, OS etc.):

The 6700 series has better motion handling than the 6500 series (they measure it in PPI - one is 1100, the other 900) and the 6700 also has three way ambilight.
I picked a 43” 6753 up from Argos two days ago. Listed as £429 (I think) but went through at £399. Absolute belter of a telly for the money. Motion handling is amazing.

That’s the one. They must have been updating the price as we were buying it. 4K HDR performance is great with relatively little tweaking (and I’ve also got an LG OLED so I’m fussy:) ). Ambilight is awesome and even the sound is pretty good.
I’ve spent the last 2 weeks mired in research for a 43” TV. Please feel free to benefit from my misery and just go straight to this

I was doing some reading and the main difference between the 6753 and the 6703 is that the former has a metal bezel while the latter (ie the argos one) is made of plastic?

Either way I think the 6700 series is the way to go! Would have quite liked the 7300 series as it has the Philips P5 tech and Android TV but its a bit beyond my price range.

Yeah, it seems that the only difference in any main numerical range with Philips (ie. 65## 67##) is cosmetic but the jump from the 65 series to the 67 is definitely technological.

I took your advice and bought one thanks for doing the research for me I managed to get it for £380 plus if you spend over £100 at Argos you get £10 gift voucher. I thought the ambilight would be a gimmick but I really like it and very impressed by the TV thanks again .

It’s superb, isn’t it? The HDR is particularly good (hit the TVs YouTube app and search 4K HDR for some great demos). Really glad to help.
May be a daft question but can you choose to turn the ambilight off on these TVs?
I've got the 55 inch version, it's a bril tv, the amber light is amazing, currently scanning for a 45/49 for my dad atm, limited budget,

As for the amberlite feature, Yeah u can turn it off,

If you plan on using it for the Xbox, defo shove it in to game mode otherwise is lags like feck..
If i remember rightly the lower inch philips amberlite are better spec then the bigger one, don't quote me something to do with the type of backlight ips..

Yes. There’s a button on the remote.
Really tempted to go for that 55 inch for £459. Anyone got it?

Cool, is there anything worth knowing about the set drawback wise? Think I might order it this week!
