Similar deal to last week with Richer Sounds, looks like Amazon have price matched 399 and currently has Prime delivery for tomorrow.

Might help anyone who missed out on the last deal

Edit: apologies, this model is slightly different, the Richer Sounds deal was on 6703 and this is on 6753.

No, the 7 series have the P5.

As far as I'm aware the 6703 and 6753 are the same except the feet.

I have the 49" ambilight which you either love or hate i tend to find. I think its great when watching movies and using the tv at night. Its a bit pointless in daylight though. But overall i recommend it
No warranty though on this one ?
jaddy10 m ago

It says includes 2 year warranty.

I think he meant it doesn't have the same warranty of 6 years

Got the 55 from Richer sounds last week. Really really happy with it and thought the gimmick will last 2mins. It’s amazing at night! Really easy on the eyes as well
Unfortunately, this TV has no bluetooth. I was wondering if you could plug a USB Bluetooth dongle to connect the TV to your soundbar.
PLEASE HELP:

I have a Samsung 49MU6500 , is it worth buying this to replace it or am I not going to notice much difference?
This is currently £394.99 from Costco and Richer Sounds will price match that with an additional £10 discount

Is there anything not quite right with your tv - if you can make any comments we can see if the tv in this deal doesn’t have any of those issues. Otherwise you may end up spending hundreds of pounds and the tv be basically the same

Keep yours mate, probably a better picture, and you can live without the fairy lights.

Nothing overly wrong with it, but I hear the HDR on it isnt strong enough to make it worthwhile using etc, so always assumed I'd overpayed for mine a couple years ago lol
Bought ambilight 55 inch Philips TV 2 years ago and now it has darker looking spots in several places on screen. really annoying. Love the ambilight, but not the TV.

Probably worth keeping what you have for the time being. I don’t even have HDR officially but it’s a really nice picture - I just got a Philips Hue Go for about £45 at Argos to put behind the TV. Now have 4 Hue colour lamps in all in the living room - main light, wall light, lamp and behind the TV. Combined they make really lovely scenes when chilling in the living room, perhaps listening to music. Or watching the big match on TV or a movie. Here is a picture with the light turned up a bit more

7303 = 350 nits, it is ok for the price. But yeah you need 1000 nits, but price of a TV would be 850+, cheaper panels tend to reach 200-250 nits so phillips is good.

I'll be getting the Philips 7304, or 804 when it's released despite having android. It's awful compared to webos. You can always get an android based device for £60 which will have specs way beyond what usually comes with a TV. For me having ambilight, HDR10+ and Dolby vision is key.
Got the 9000 oled one. Any suggestions on ambilight / picture/ sound settings?
Thanks
Is there much difference spec wise (not size or price) between this and the other Philips 55PUS6703 which is also on offer?

Yep, love it, you don’t notice it a whole lot unless the lights are down low but it does feel more immersive
I’m buying a TV soon

Hello, I've had an Ambilight for around 7 years now, only two sided for me......until I upgrade. When we went to buy it, I thought it was going to be a bit gimmicky but, we love it. The only problem is everyone else TV looks disappointing and like there's something missing. In our room it even gives a good effect in the daylight as well as evenings. For the first few days I found myself staring at the colours on the wall in amazment and then you settle down and just enjoy the experience.

I have had this TV for a little while now. The ambilight is brilliant. Thought it would be a gimmick but is really really good. It's also connected to my other hue wall lights and colours from the tv extend right across the room.
There are quite a few bad points:
There is a very annoying advert for ambilight on the home screen, extolling the virtues of ambilight...odd since I am watching an ambilight TV.

The picture is a little flat compared to my Sony bravia. It is just not as rich.
The operating system is a bit fiddly.
The Miracast only works intermittently
The MHL connection drops out.
The menus are slow to respond to the remote.
The sound is tinny.

I have got a Amazon firestick so I don't have to use the operating system. I don't use the remote as I control the TV through Alexa.
At the price I would still buy it. Just for the ambilight it makes that much difference.
The main difference in the 6000 series and 7000 series is operating system? Anyone experience with the 55PUS7303 or 55PUS7503. I think the main difference between the 2 is 7503 has a speaker along bottom of screen.

I have 55PUS7303. It has android, p5 processor. I got TV with IPS panel. I ..... love it. 7503 has a speaker like you said.
I bought this TV last week from Richer Sounds. I returned back to the shop today

The ambilight feature is very good. Really works so well and I hope other companies follow suit with this idea. Credit to Philips for this..

The reason I returned the TV was the juddering when trying to watch football. I tried watching the England highlights on the ITV app and the ball was all over the place. So then I tried YouTube on the TV and it was the same with football matches. Terrible quality (I would say not even 480p).

Other issues were casting to the TV (or Miracast) just didn't work for me.

Netflix worked great though.

I searched through the web for a solution to the football issue with the TV. After spending some time adjusting the picture settings (looking through AV Forums) I gave up. It's shame because the Ambilight is great, but I found the software for the TV to be poor.
