Be drawn into the picture, with the Ambilight-equipped Philips 50PUS6754.

3-sided Ambilight for picture immersion
Ambilight technology is unique to Philips. It makes the screen appear much wider—and your viewing experience more immersive—by emitting an extra wide glow from three-sides of your TV screen onto the surrounding wall. Colour, vibrancy and excitement move beyond the screen and into your living room to bring you a viewing experience beyond the ordinary.

Pixel Precise Ultra HD and Micro Dimming for optimised picture
Unique picture processing sets the Philips apart from its rivals. Pixel Precise Ultra HD delivers smoother motion and life-like picture depth. Micro Dimming analyses the picture across thousands of zones and adjusts it accordingly. This maximises the contrast for life-like images and realism.

Get the best from HDR with HDR10+
For the highest quality picture, HDR10+ offers scene-by-scene HDR mastering for the truest, most accurate HDR picture technology to date. With HDR10+ each scene is optimised, meaning the maximum amount of detail is shown – even in the brightest or darkest moments. The 50PUS6754 also supports standard HDR10 and HLG formats. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.

Dolby Vision for dramatic imaging
As well as supporting HDR10+, the 50PUS6754 is also compatible with Dolby Vision - a leading format in Hollywood and cinemas around the world. Dolby Vision also adjusts the picture to take full advantage of each display's characteristics and presents an optimized picture for each scene in specially mastered content.

Smarter TV from SAPHI
Packing the latest SAPHI smart system, powered by a Quad Core processor, this Philips 50” TV is a slick performer with Smart content, too. Connect up to your home network by Ethernet or Wi-Fi and enjoy access to a wide range of apps including favourites such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube the BBC iPlayer and more. A built-in web browser lets you browse and stream to your heart's content.

Crisp and detailed sound
Compatible with Dolby Atmos sound tracks, the 50PUS6754 has the potential to deliver spacious, enveloping sound. Clear Sound improves dialogue, making it easier to hear individual voices.

Freeview Play for catch-up TV
Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All4 and Demand 5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the internet and you're good to go.

Fully connected
Three HDMI sockets make it easy to connect a Blu-ray player, games console and TV set-top box. All sockets are HDMI 2.0 version with HDCP 2.2, making this TV compatible with UHD Blu-ray players and most 4K HDR streaming services. Other connections include twin USB sockets, featuring recording to a compatible USB device. Throw in an optical connection for a soundbar/base plus headphone sockets and you've everything you need from your new TV.

I really like mine, except the tv doesn’t respond to the remote all the time and now it’s started turning itself back on after turning off....
Saphi isn’t the best but it’s fine for most people.
At this price point LG 49UM7400 is the best bet. As fully loaded as it gets.

You going to keep it like that?? Mine would only sort it self out by having to turn it off and on each time. Every day!! Really? It'll only get worse. Return for refund while you can.

Have done that, can't see any complaints.

I’m trying to get ahold of Richer Sounds but I bought it in November....
I've got one and so far quite like it. Yes the OS is pretty laggy and can struggle with basic tasks (I'm comparing it to a 5 year old Panasonic with the firefox OS, which was way more stable) but I'm pretty pleased with the picture, decent black levels and the HDR is a very noticeable improvement. Sound is also pretty poor, but I have a sound bar. I think for the money it's a good buy, if it becomes unusable for it's lag I'll use the RS warranty
Got this deal and had it 6 days. Currently sat in its box waiting to be collected and returned. Decided to switch itself off and wouldn’t power back up for a full 24hrs! Then did it again on Monday night, no thanks! If it was reliable it would have been a great TV but I can’t deal with “maybe I’ll work, maybe I’ll sack it off today”
