One of the best TVs you can buy. Improved on the highly rated 803 model.

At the moment in store only, stock expected online within a few weeks as it's a newly released model.

Closest competitor is the LG C9 which is a fantastic set and Webos is far more suited to a TV than android, but this has ambilight which is excellent, and HDR10+ (and Dolby vision) if any major studio decides to bother with it in future.

15ms game mode too

Looks a pretty good all-rounder.

Sorry cold, there is no way this is worth £400 over a B9.

Based on?
These are meant to be brilliant sets, improving on the already decent 803 and with Dolby vision built in too. Don’t forget they will also use LG OLED panels, but have Philips processing which is highly regarded. Ambilight is such a great addition, especially if you’re already invested in the system like many are (including me). Built in speakers on Philips TVs are also usually surprisingly good compared to other flat panel sets.
Trusted reviews scores this highly and says the following if considering the LG C9

LG’s new C9 TVs are the closest OLED rivals for the 55OLED804 that 2019 has given us so far. The LGs offer a different design and slightly more rounded sound, plus the most dynamic and refined pictures LG has ever produced from an OLED TV and LG’s user-friendly WebOS smart interface. On the other hand, it doesn’t have Ambilight, doesn’t support HDR10+ and, at the time of writing, costs £200 more than the 55OLED804.
