Good stuff! It tends to seem it just comes down to who gets your Price Match request and how much they are a stickler for the rules.

And also, for John Lewis to claim "Never Knowingly Undersold". The cost of this should now be reduced on their website as they are aware it is cheaper elsewhere so they are in fact knowingly priced higher.

Crampton and Moore offer 2 year warranty.
John Lewis offer 5 year warranty.

The extra 3 year warranty is of value to the consumer and a cost to the supplier

Agreed. And yet John Lewis have price matched.

So my point is, if they are price matching for one customer, then they are knowingly over charging every other customer paying their displayed price, hence the claim of "Never Knowingly Undersold" cannot apply.

Given the margin on TVs they couldn't reduce the entire stock which they've already paid for, but would be prepared to take a hit on a few price matched units, that's the model for retailers who price match its a marketing strategy.

I understand it from a business perspective why they would not mark the price down on all items. But again, the issue is the claim they make and sell themselves on. It just is not really true.

Got another model with sephi interface, I actually think it is as good as my old Samsung with tizen. Not owned android, but understand that is not without its issues.
£899 at Amazon as well.

Hi paid for it online, chose a deliver slot next week so I could cancel if needs be. Answer took 24hours - once the item has been delivered they will credit you back you
