This doesn’t have hdmi 2.1 if you want that, whereas the LG’s do have it.
I got one on black Friday and I love it - recommend!!!
Whilst the picture on the Philips is a good step up from the standard LED televisions, you would be mad to buy this ahead of the LG B9, which has been hitting £999 for the last while. The picture is not as good, and the operating system, together with overall functionality is simply not on a par to the LG. (In my opinion of course)

It uses the same LG oled panel in the B9, so picture should be around the same or arguably better since the ambient light enhances the viewing experience.

The main difference is the lack of hdmi 2.1 which will be featured in the new consoles later this year, although it will take at least a few years for those features to even be utilized by game developers. Also, the software is known to be buggy but it shouldn't make a difference to you if you use a firestick, apple tv etc.

Overall, at this price, this is a strong contender.

The same panel is a fair point, however the picture quality depends on so many other factors such as the processor and the algorithms used etc. At a similar price I still maintain that you would be mad to buy this Philips set over the proven LG. It’s certainly not a bad tv but I would want a serious reduction to warrant buying it over the LG. Why buy such an expensive Tv and then have to retrofit it with a fire stick?

Most TV's you likely want to get rid of the smart tv functions on it, this is what is going to be out of date first, what matters is the panel and image processing, but the general software on this model is not great, I think people should buy the 804 over the LG, because ambilight. The Philips has decent motion processing too. The LG is not significantly better in terms of picture quality and reviews rate the Philips models highly, then factor in ambilight and I think it's strange to say you would be mad to buy a philips, it is the better option in my view.

Phillips have however just announced this year's models and the 5 TV's (for anyone that doesn't know the last number is the year of release in the models and the and the first is the range, so they are releasing the 805 soon, so i suspect price drops will be incoming. This years models for Philips seem a disappointment but then again LG's releases were not great either this year. Philips have added AI to there picture processing which I believe LG already had anyway and a much better remote (remote on the current Philips range is cheap and horrible). The additional to the AI in the processing chip, will likely bring it fully on par with the LG in terms of picture quality since LG didn't make improvements really this year.

The only reason to buy the LG is if you want HDMI 2.1 which philips have still not added in this years models, but they don't believe it is needed/worth it, however a lot of people on here seem to have bought into the hype around it and believe they need it.

Yes. This is Philips budget model, there standard OLED is the 804 which has Android TV as the OS. This has a budget homemade Philips OS, there is not a lot of details about it online, still seems like a good TV but not sure if worth the risk for the price.
Yh the fing is what if u quote da Chinese calibration bruda to richer sounds would u get it cheaper
