Discover shows and movies as the director intended with the Philips 55OLED804/12 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR OLED TV.
With an OLED panel, every single pixel is controlled individually, giving deeper blacks, more vibrant colours and better contrast for an image that will look and feel stunningly lifelike. Even details in the shadows and brightest scenes will be precisely reproduced, so you won't miss those all-important moments of the fight scene that happen in the dark.

Be immersed with Ambilight
From movies to games, get more immersed in your content with Philips Ambilight. Intelligent LEDs around the edges of the TV panel cast the colours on your screen onto the wall behind it and into your room, creating a stunning effect that will make your screen feel bigger and give every show a tailored, real-time light show. With perfectly tuned ambient lighting, your TV will be even more impressive.

Every picture enhanced
With HDR and Philips P5 Perfect Picture Engine, every scene will be enhanced for a brilliantly vivid image. You'll get a full sensory experience that captures all the original richness of your content.

And with Dolby Atmos, you get virtual surround sound that makes you feel part of the action.

They price matched a 2 year warranty? Nice.
BUYERS REMORSE

Shame about the stand. PHILIPS 55OLED854/12 at Costco has a swivel stand. Would Philips 58PUS7304/12, also at Costco be better value? 58" LCD VA panel, also with swivel stand.

Can I cancel Currys friday delivery and get it from Richer Sounds?
RS price match is now live on their website, no need to call.

Except, it is a Buy in Store, In Store exclusive. You need to call, reserve and collect. By which time you may be steered in a more appropriate direction to a higher margin product. LOL
This is the TV I have decided was the model I wanted, but I have been holding out through Boxing Day and Black Friday and now this is a pretty decent price.

However they announced the 805, which is due out very shortly.... not sure if i should bite or I should wait.
Is this better than the LG b9?

You’re best to wait for the 805 and wait for it to drop to a reasonable price and then hold out for the 806

I get what you are saying but this was pretty cheap around launch, it seems to go up in price then back down on offer quite a lot and the c9 launched at a pretty reasonable price compared to the c8 when that was around, so I was kinda hoping when the 805 launched it wouldn’t be much different from the current 804 prices. It’s not that the 805 adds a huge amount but the AI picture processing might be really helpful, that was the one thing lacking on the Philips before, although to be fair the reviews are great for this anyway, not sure if I’d like it to drop a bit more before considering it worth buying over waiting, would be nice if there were more hands on reviews with the 805 that compared it

Doubt the 805 will be available till May at the earliest, and then for some inflated price at launch too

Yeah, then in a month or two it will prob be around the standard price for the 804 which was around 1299, as it seems to be the main “offer” price for this TV.

Which is why although £1099 is a good deal, it’s not a great deal, I’m not in much rush so not sure if to wait and then nab the 805 or perhaps the 804 if it drops further.
Who has already picked one up from Richer Sounds or had one delivered by Currys?

The new 805 has a new remote, white on black.

Remember the awards. Is there bias against Philips for lack of US reviews?

Well I remain to be convinced about Ambilight and it would appear it's got rather tricky settings to get used to but we've been in the market for a new decent bedroom telly at the right price for ages, this fits the bill perfectly.

Back up to 1300 quid on JL with only 1 showing in stock so I definitely pulled the trigger at the right time
Does anyone else sell the 55OLED854, the 854 has a swivel stand. £1399 at Costo is too much.

How does that voucher discount work? Is it a pre-paid card?
