My bad... Or Maybe say something like... Why people should get this amazing TV.... Or next price range... Or why it's a good deal....
Glad to see your last comment, that this may have been some use anyway. Copy and paste it may very well have been but I'm afraid my words would have been something like "no clue if this TV is good or bad but price seems a good deal", think the Costco info was a wee bit better!
Close to buying the set myself but probably hoping this post may lead to some advice as well.
It's got getting Memory and 3 sides amberlight and the new upgrade from the website Now with HDR support, the Philips 6400 is a much better buy for those after 4K TV
Also with android add kodi and more
Yes they add 5% worth paying it still saving money
so at these tv prices with 5% probably best to get annual membership
Review for the 49 inch model here. Model number is slightly different, the number is higher on Costco rather than lower mind.

Ambilight isn't for everyone, but personally I love it - Battlefield 1 on this TV with Ambilight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGca-WxA318
.....and if you have Philips Hue lighting - youtube.com/wat…kOs
We bought it brand new because of that ambilight feature and 6 Months later the screen started flickering with a line coming across the screen itself and burn marks appeared on the edge of screen and on the frame of TV itself,it burnt due to overheating of LED light which is in the back of the TV (ambilight) directly opposite of the burnt mark on the actual TV screen and frame.Luckily TV was switched off when this was spotted as I dread to think what would happen if TV was left on and unattended, I would say a risk of fire quite likely.
I took pictures of it and went to Argos to report it, hoping I could get refund to buy different TV make as I don't think this ambilight version is safe and it gave us a proper scare .
Argos told me that I needed to contact Philips so I contacted Philips by phone explaining situation. I was told pictures I took and my info and details of what happened were forwarded to head office and they would investigate.
I received a phone call from Philips couple of days later stating that engineers had a look at the pictures I sent them and they came to conclusion that it is mechanical fault and they were putting blame on us!! That was all done over the picture rather than actually sending someone to collect TV and do proper investigation to make sure this model is actually safe!
I was fuming when I heard them saying that TV screen must have been touched/ pushed in when putting on stand or being carried and that caused for heat not be able to escape and burnt the screen due to overheating!
TV has been on the stand from day one safe and secure , never moved and we are not 2 year olds to mess with TV we spent a lot of money on.
It has 2 year warranty , but they refuse to refund or even to repair it!!!
I would not want replacement as I believe it should be recalled alltogether, but one thing I know, I will never buy any Philips brand again and I have contacted my credit card company to deal with this situation as I am protected by section 75 Consumer credit act and should receive refund soon through them, but customer services at Philips are appalling!
Be warned.
