Weren't in the market for a Philip's Ambilight perchance OP?
Picture quality has proved to be great on the one we bought recently, but the OS will have you throwing the remote at the screen in no time!
Any picture setting suggestions? I’m struggling to find something acceptable?!

If these are anything like the PUS7303 range then the complete lack of lip-sync will have you wanting to throw the whole screen out of the window! Our 50PUS7303 has superb picture, and the Ambilight is great, but sometimes it seems like the audio is from another channel to the picture, the lip-sync is that bad. Adjusting audio delays on the TV has no effect. Oh, also the TV guide is absolutely beyond useless, and pause/rewind TV only works about 30% of the time. So nearly a great TV, but actually really annoying instead.

I read this on a forum recently and it seemed to improve the SD picture quality:

Picture: Standard
Contrast (this is actually black level!) - 65 (you could have this lower for night time viewing for better blacks
Brightness: 50
Colour Temp: Neutral
Colour: 60
Sharpness: 2-3
Advanced settings
Contrast style:Best suited to picture
Gamma: default
Super resolution: Off
Turn of all Colour and Contrast Enhancements
Turn of all Noise reduction settings
Motion: Off or Movie (off for Games!)

That is pretty fundamental.
Have read bad things about the software not working well with catch up tv apps. Has anyone any experience and comments on this please.
Have voted hot because it is a good price on a generally well rated tv!

Got this from Richer Sounds back in April. One of the salesmen had this model and said the only down side was the software, especially catch up TV.

As catch up wasn't a feature I was going to use, it didn't really pose a problem.

However, just selecting which source you want takes longer than it should do.

software isnt great. easily solved with a 4k firestick.

the flickering of clouds/ white/ bright scenes is more of an annoyance.
I have this exact model and use it with Freesat ... but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The interface and program guide is more clunky than having to walk across the room and turn the dial to re-tune the first 12 inch B&W TV I was given as a present circa 1978. As a display for watching Netflix, You Tube or Prime video it's great but trying to watch TV or do anything with channel selection is the most frustrating experience I've had with any TV. It's also a PITA to switch sources to watch a Blu Ray which takes way longer than it should. As for sound, I can't get the damn thing to work with my amp so I can control the volume - something my 9yr old Panasonic did seamlessly.

Buyers regret? Yep, that's me.
Sound like most of these issues wouldn't bother me. I would never use the firmware interface, with all the audio and channel switching handled by my amp and cable box.

Tempted.

See my post above. There are actually more bugs than I mentioned. Our 7303 is a bit of a curate's egg, in many ways really good, but the bugs spoil the experience,
