Set this up for my mate last week and I think its a blinder tbh - tweaked the settings according to whatfifi review and ran some 4k HDR demos downloaded from here for free 4kmedia.org and I thought it was superb. It has netflix as an app and a shortcut on the remote....

Is that not 50 inch one
Is this the android one?
Does it come with a electricity plug fitted ?

Runs off saphi it says. Unsure what the 2018 model runs off but my menus are super slow and crash the TV as well as the WiFi/ethernet just dissappearing and needing a hard reset to work again. I can't even report the issues to Philips as the websites search button doesn't want to work. Love the ambilight feature but try and get an android model if possible

Do you have a link to the Whathifi review and recommended settings.
TIA.

I'd also like a link to that review if possible!
Philips are very limited with apps would never buy another tv from them!
Any users comment on whether this has resolved the motion issues that plague the 6703 / 6753? I've got all processing turned off, it's running game mode and it still stutters from time to time unless you cycle the picture mode setting.
Here is the review whathifi.com/phi…iew admittedly its the 6703 not 6754 but it all still stands. Mates one has ran fine the last week with zero issues with wifi or app menus - Has all the usual app candidates on there so dont know what "limited" means. He won't be playing any games on it so as it stands for him and me I give it a solid thumbs up.

I purchased the 8 series a couple of weeks ago, when you 1st load it up the apps are a bit limited, if you then update the software and then reset the tv via the reset option all the catch up channels appear, along with Freeview play.

Mines does. Might just be you specific.
Can the ambichav be turned off in settings?
I have to admit I'm finding the model numbering confusing!

Which is the best, non OLED, 55" Philips TV? I'm sold on Ambilight, but not OLED yet, so limited to the brand but would want their best TV.

Looking at the Philips site I *think* it's the 55PUS7304, but it's only £50 more than this set and at £480 seems to reasonable to be top of the range?

OK, it's clearly not the 7304, as I can see models in the 8000 and 9000 range when viewing all TVs on their site. Their homepage mentions none of these, but they seem to be current models and cost more so assuming they are 'better'. The 7304 is listed under a performance selection that, at least to me, is suggested that these are the best non OLED they do.

Get a cheap Roku or Now TV box, etc. I wouldn't let the apps part put you off.

A million times mentioned

The 7 series has the P5 picture processor which was s game changer on the Philips sets. Destroys the 6 series. For £50 more buy the 7 series and never look back
